I have a friend coming over from the US and they're offering to get me a Magic Wand. I've heard so many praises didn't about it that I'm tempted to get one for myself, but I'm wondering if it's worth it especially since I'd have to spring for the rechargeable model to make sure it works with European plugs.

Is the Magic Wand that good, or are there European alternatives that hit the same price/performance?
