Observations on a device: convection the issue?
I have had various devices before, some better than others. I didn’t like the orbit too much. Had a DaBoXPro (or whatever the rando capitalization was) that I thought was excellent, but a friend begged me for it and I gave it over (said friend then wrecked it by dropping it many times).
I thought to get another one and I spent a lot of time worrying about temperature control and bubbler availability and so on and somehow changed my search parameters at some point such that a utillian 621 ended up in the results.
The problem is that this is a convection unit. So there’s no element you fire, but air that is heated to pass over the goods and change state that way. I kinda thought maybe I could do it like a banger, but no.
So far all I’ve done is get really foul-tasting extremely thin clouds of little effect. I am sure this kit is less than ideal anyway, but it astonishes me that it’s this bad. Anyone had any luck with convection rigs? Or do I just need to keep fiddling to get it right?
