Why do men speak to us as if we're stupid?
So like if i'm at work for example and it's just the guys chatting they mostly use all these really long ass words and terminology but somehow the second I join them they start to simplify things when they're addressing me in any way and their way of talking like completly changes?
Like I can't really give you any specific examples because i'm not sure how to spell it but just today they were talking about elections and politics and literally from the moment I joined their talk they suddenly switched to using metaphors and all that stuff..
Even those I really didn't get all that much tbh.. and if I ever try to ask for clarification they'll just call me dumb, dummy or ditzy and tell me not to worry my head too much about it??
I just can't help that i get confused really fast in these kind of complicated talks but I'm not stupid! I just need some extra explanations sometimes to really work my head around the things I'm hearing to really understand them.. or like.. pretend to atleast
