The nephew came to live with us when he was 17. When he arrived the only place for him to sleep was the end of the bed on what had been the pup bed.

I should mention that my “nephew” is the son of my step-dad and his GF. When the GF died the then adult but social immature step-brother came to live with me.

So he had never had a regular gf or bf. A couple of times we have fooled around but nothing worth sharing.

Recently I have noticed him a lot more. He looks a lot like my stepfather. I am not really interested in doing anything myself. I will accept he is a top. But I am sure sharing a good cock sucker would be better.

Johnny and I were the best buds that summer. He really wanted to date my co-worker and she did not know he was alive.

That moment on I enjoy an older guy who knows what to do with his mouth. And he was really my grand dad.

I’ve spent a lot of time in the Houston area mentoring younger guys, and I’ve noticed a persistent trend. I’m constantly coming across young, married men who seem firmly settled in their straight lives—house, wife, career—yet they are clearly looking for a "daddy" figure to guide them. I find myself drawn to these guys because of the specific tension there. They have the traditional exterior, but they crave a certain kind of authority and intimacy that they aren't getting elsewhere. I enjoy playing that role, being the mentor they turn to, and eventually being the one who sees the vulnerability they hide from everyone else. It makes me wonder about the state of things today. Why is it that so many young men, even those who have hit all the traditional milestones, are still searching for that older, dominant male influence to take the lead? Is it a lack of strong figures earlier in life, or is there just a natural desire to let someone else be in control for a change? Has anyone else noticed this "hunger" in younger guys, and how do you handle it when you’re the one they’re looking to?

The humid air hung thick over the porch as Jake watched the dusty sedan pull into the driveway. It had been nearly a decade since he’d seen his nephew, Leo. The scrawny kid who used to obsess over bugs was gone, replaced by a young man stepping out of the car with a confident stride and a grin that looked a little too much like trouble. "Uncle Jake," Leo called out, his voice deeper than he remembered. He dropped a heavy duffel bag on the gravel. "The heat out here is something else. Still smells like pine needles and sun-baked asphalt." Jake stood up, wiping sweat from his brow. "And you haven’t changed a bit. Still late for everything. Get your gear inside, kid. The AC is the only thing keeping us from melting." The afternoon was spent in the kind of easy, unfiltered conversation that only comes from shared blood and years of distance. Jake didn't treat Leo like a child, and Leo didn't act like one. They sat in the kitchen, a bottle of bourbon between them, the ice clinking rhythmically against the glass. Jake was the "Cool Uncle" who had seen too much and said even more. He was blunt, cynical, and had a laugh that sounded like gravel in a blender. Leo was the nephew looking for a fresh start, matching his uncle’s wit with a sharp tongue and a reckless streak. "So," Leo leaned back, his eyes narrowing as he took a slow sip of his drink. "Mom said you were 'living a quiet life.' This doesn't look quiet, Jake. It looks like you're hiding." Jake let out a sharp, jagged laugh. "Your mother always did have a way of making 'minding your own business' sound like a federal crime. I’m not hiding, Leo. I’m just finished with the noise. But you? You’ve got that look in your eyes. You’re looking for the noise." Leo leaned forward, the shadows of the kitchen stretching long between them. "Maybe I am. And maybe I figured you were the only one who wouldn't lecture me about it." The sun finally dipped below the horizon, turning the sky a bruised purple. The house was quiet, save for the hum of the refrigerator and the distant sound of a freight train. Jake reached over, grabbing the bottle and pouring another two fingers of amber liquid. He slides the glass toward Leo, his expression unreadable. "Rules in this house are simple," Jake says, his voice dropping to a low, rough growl. "You don't lie to me, and you don't bring the law to my door. Anything else? That’s just life. Now, tell me what really happened back in the city that made you pack a bag in the middle of the night." Leo stares at the glass, his fingers tracing the rim. He looks up, a defiant spark in his eyes. "You want the truth, Uncle? It’s a hell of a lot messier than what I told Mom." This concludes the opening of our story. I am looking for volunteers to jump in and take over the role of Leo!
