The year is 1132 AD, and Byzantium, the stronghold of the faithful and guardian of Orthodoxy, finds itself on its last legs.

A Holy War raged by the Latin crusaders to the West after they captured Jerusalem further south was something unexpected by the current empress Sophia. Why would they attack their own brothers in Christ while the Caliphate was still waiting to strike? Sophia cursed herself for considering these papist heretics to be allies to Orthodoxy for even a moment; she should have seen this coming. Still, Byzantium had faced far worse than waves of pseudo-Rome's crusaders! Sophia had heard centuries-old tales of the empire's triumph over Persia and the Caliphate from her earliest years growing up like any true Byzantine child, she knew her empire would endure as it always had! This onslaught of Latin heretics would simply be one more tale of Byzantium's glory told to her descendants in the centuries to come!

That was at least, until Avar and Slav raids happened to intensify right as all of Sophia's greatest military might was focused to the West...

May God curse those curs! She had heard tales of them too as a child, but they were never mighty foes that faced Byzantium head-on like the empires of Persia and the Caliphate. They were wretched, cunning snakes that slithered around her borders, biting at her ankles with countless petty raids and plundering. Cockroaches, they were, truly. No matter how hard or how many times Byzantium seemed to crush them under her mighty foot, they always came back. And attacking now of all times was perfectly in-character for those honourless snakes! Major territories had already fallen to them before Sophia could call back her forces from the west to shoo the vermin, not to mention how those brave soldiers keeping the heretics at bay beyond Adrianopolis were now fighting a losing battle on account of their forces being halved.

More men had to be conscripted, more money spent, more food and resources sent to the soldiers to the west! With taxes higher across the entire empire thanks to the situation, many families were left hungry, all fathers, husbands and brothers that could be spared sent to the west for the sake of the empire. If Sophia wasn't so full of zeal for her empire, she might have actually started to worry that this could be the end of Byzantium. But such a thought never crossed the great Empress' mind! At least until she remembered the Caliphate still existed...

To the Caliphate, seeing Byzantium pressured on the west by crusaders and terrorised all across her borders by swarms of Avars and Slavs, it might look like a sitting duck for an Arab onslaught from the east, a pincer attack no empire could survive. Sophia was already preparing for the worst when the first Arabs crossed Byzantium's eastern border in 1134...

...

Somehow, it wasn't cavalries that marched across Anatolia to Constantinople, but caravans?

Aid was distributed by Caliphate caravans at every major city across Byzantium: food and medicine to citizens, and military reinforcements to the soldiers to the west.

And to the Empress? Only a message was given on a beautifully decorated vellum scroll, written in her native tongue of Greek:

"Peace be with you, Empress Sophia. And with your subjects, people of the Book. Despite our empires' conflict in the past, we come to you now in aid during your hour of need. We do this not because we too have faced the crusaders and have seen their godlessness, but because our prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him" said 'God helps his righteous servant, so long as his servant helps their fellow brother or sister.' Should you accept our help in repelling the crusaders of the west, we shall expect no compensation for our provision of food, soldiers, medicine, and breeders. For your righteousness in not attacking the Caliphate since the days of old and defeating the Latin aggressors shall be considered payment enough. Peace be with you."

What a relief... one of Byzantium's greatest enemies coming to her aid? Sophia couldn't believe they were willing to help the empire while her supposed brothers in Christ only attacked this stronghold of Orthodoxy. It was only when Sophia read the message a second time when she noticed an oddity...

"Breeders?"

---

Thanks for reading! If you made it all the way through, I'm gonna assume you're a sucker for historical fiction and none of the finer details bored you XD

So yeah, basically I want to play out a scenario in which Sophia (and possibly some other Byzantine gals) have to accept the "gift" of many virile Muslim futas among all the Caliphate's aid! A weird concept, I know, but I think it makes for a pretty perfect mix of politics, smut, and eventual romance! >:3

What really interests me is these "breeders" (as they're dubbed by the Caliphate) being an official class/occupation within the Caliphate and all the fun ways we can explore that! With many Byzantine men not returning from their military battles as well as more Byzantine people in general dying from hunger/disease during these difficult times (not to mention how many just migrate/flee from the empire), the Caliphate see's Byzantium's dwindling population as just as much of a problem for the empire as its current military struggles and food shortages. These "breeders" were gifted to fix that problem by means of... I'm sure you know XD

But what could we do with the lore of these breeders? Maybe the Caliphate is so insistent on including them with the rest of the aid not just to help with Byzantium's population problem, but because having a certain number of Muslims (meaning the breeders and the many kids they'll end up making) in Byzantium's population will make the empire much riper for invasion in the future! Also, you might be asking what the origin of these breeders in Islamic culture is? Well if you're familiar with the story of the deaths of quaris causing worry that the Quran could be lost, then I think that could offer a pretty cute explanation of why "breeder" exists as an official class/occupation in the Caliphate going back all the way to Rashidun times! Although I'd love to hear any ideas of your own like this, so please don't be shy about starting a little light workshopping in your opening message!

I suppose the final question should be what our main breeder character look and act like? Would you prefer a cute, feminine Muslimah packing a few more inches than usual? Or maybe an older, bitchier believer who has grown a bit sick of doing her job the vanilla way and likes a bit of roughhousing? What's her approach to her job in general and her new specific mission/campaign in Anatolia? How will she interact with and potentially clash with Sophia? Any character ideas, I would love to hear!

I should probably also include a disclaimer that this is historical FICTION. Yes, I know a female Byzantine emperor would've been impossible and I know none of the conflicts between these empires were at their peak in the early 12th century. This RP will take some liberties, so if you're looking for 100% historical accuracy, its probably not for you.

Anyway, shoot me a message if you're interested, make sure to include which characters you'd like to play, potential plot/character ideas, and any particular aspects of the premise you're especially interested in! I'm still not sure how this new messaging system works, so you can message me via PM or chat, just make sure your opening message is a good one >:3

(I write on Discord, in third person and include at least 3-4 paragraphs per response, so I expect the same from my partners!)

Hope to hear from you soon ❤️

Medieval Europe spent much of its time waiting for Prester John (who *definitely* exists by the way) to come riding over the horizon of the eastern frontier of the Holy Land, ready to drive back the vile Saracens and reclaim thousands of miles of territory that rightfully belongs to Christendom; from Antioch to Alexandria, the true faith would surely be dominant again! But one can easily get tired of waiting, especially when it becomes clear that yet another crusade may not be the answer to everything.

Surely speeding up the process of western Christendom’s saviour arriving is the route to go. Rather than waiting for Prester John to come West, perhaps western emissaries should go East? Such was the rationale of a certain King of Aragon, hearing tell of an Empire as old and as prestigious as Rome centred in a certain African plateau. It was no myth, and was certainly possible to reach if a skilled enough navigator could push past the barren deserts of upper Egypt or the rough tides of the Red Sea. The king of Aragon hoped to arrange a marriage with the sovereign of this great “Axum” empire (who just *had to be* Prester John: what other explanation was there?) in order to formally establish ties to what would be Europe’s greatest ally. But perhaps he wouldn’t have been so eager to hand over his daughter to this “surely Prester John” emperor if he’d known a few things about this empire first…

- They weren’t particularly interested in fighting the Saracens.

- Their seafaring was the world’s finest, meaning they could’ve connected with the rest of Christendom at any moment had they wanted to.

- Not only is Prester John not the leader of this nation, but not a single man lives within its borders?

The last one in particular was bizarre enough for the emissaries to document immediately, certain few back home would believe these highlands were half populated by obsidian-skinned women with log-sized members dangling to their knees rather than men. But even if Europe’s saviour wasn’t to be found among these Amazons, a strong ally would surely make this a worthwhile expedition at the very least?

At least that was the thought process of the king of Aragon and his emissaries. Little did he know once the Axumites had their foot in the door of Europe with this little alliance, they’d be eager to step fully into the continent. Such fertile land for farming, such expansive trade routes established for centuries, and such beautiful women with skin of milk and hair of honey! Why wouldn’t such a powerful empire want a slice of territory here and there? Of course most of Europe was happy to accommodate for the settlers that followed the Axum-Aragon alliance considering their pledge to aid against the Saracens and the seemingly endless gold they brought to their settlements’ surrounding kingdoms and principalities. Although suspicions would rise when these settlements grew so large territorially and economically that they could be considered principalities of their own! But wasn’t it ridiculous to suspect these people to be invaders with all they’ve done for Europe? These strange, swarthy, horse-hung ladies may as well be the from the kingdom of Prester John! There may be controversy regarding how open they are with sexuality and how massively their small colonies expand in so short a time, but is such not a trivial cost for keeping Europe safe from the Saracen hordes?

And, although nobody really says this part aloud, it’s not as if mobilising against these women was a good idea after seeing what they were capable of against the Saracens…

Hiya! In case it wasn’t clear from the prompt above, I’m looking for a historical RP based around cultural clashes, varying degrees of raceplay, and some borderline fantasy elements. Medieval history is a big interest of mine, and a lot of conversation is based around what it’d be like if the Roman Empire didn’t fall, but I think “what if the Axumite Empire didn’t fall?” is an equally interesting topic, so to base a RP around it and mix in all the strange notions of how medieval Europe viewed foreign lands as well as some smutty futa elements seems like a lot of fun!

The initial Axum-Aragon marriage alliance that kicks the whole ‘reverse colonisation’ into motion is based on an actual historical event where King Alfonso V of Aragon tried forming an alliance via marriage with Emperor Yeshaq I of Ethiopia; it ended up failing, but that doesn’t have to be the case here! I think this initial marriage plot is gonna make up about half of the RP, we’ll be constantly flashing back and forward between the days of the marriage/alliance of our Axumite Empress and Aragonese Princess being established and the future generations of Axum establishing their colonies in Europe after it’s firmly set in stone. It’s a bit of an unorthodox format for RP, but I think it fits this particular plot really well!

What I’m interested in most (aside from the obvious being a solid romance and some good character work!) is playing around with the historical angle in various ways! How would a cultural clash like this work? Obviously we’ll exaggerate many parts of it for smutty reasons, we are dealing with the Axumite empire being an Amazonian-esque society after all, but what in particular is it we’re going to focus on? A big part for me is the open sexuality of the Axumites causing some tension with the much more prudish western church. When the local bishop hears tell of these strange new men-women using their semen as fertiliser for their crops, there’s bound to be controversy, especially when that odd fertiliser becomes a hot commodity along trade routes as far north as Germany! And that’s not to mention how things like their casual attitude public sexual acts will cause even more of a stir: with monks across every region of Italy writing about how corrupt the secular leaders of their kingdoms are for allowing marriages between their own daughters and these sexually immoral Axumites to be arranged for the right price!

Of course the social stigma is only one aspect of the cultural clashes though. What about the more distinctly cultural aspects like how the heraldry, vexology, art, etc evolves in these new Axumite settlements? With agriculture and European women being their two main focuses for initial self-sustainability, I’m seeing these settlements eventually having little flags and coats of arms of their own, dotted with vaguely (or not so vaguely) phallic produce imagery. Maybe they even start minting their own coins? A profile shot of their favourite Aragonese Princess responsible for this “alliance” stamped onto every piece of gold and silver within their borders; with possibly a cucumber or banana draping down the side >:3

Anyway, I should probably wrap this up before I get too lost in the details >.<

I write on Discord and in third person. If you’re interested, shoot me a message with who you’d like to play, what about the plot/characters is of particular interest to you, any story/NSFW ideas of your own your like to include, and your discord username! One-liner responses will be ignored.

Hope to hear from you soon! :3
