I'm not naive to not know it has to do with mood and excitement level, but sometimes it's so satisfying to slide on top of a toy and ride that thing to orgasm but other times it feels so much like a chore and unenjoyable to me. It really isnt' about prep or getting enough lube because there are times when I'm really closed up and love the feeling of that slow but gradual stretch, I think I prefer it rather than warming up.

I know this goes against conventional wisdom regarding anal and penetration in general but there is just a different feel sometimes when you go right in when you're so horned up.

I would consider myself intermediate as I've had quite a few years of experience working on myself but when it comes to understanding the anatomy of our anus / rectum and its terminologies, I'm lost. What I do know and the sensation I like is when it's warmed up and you do the pushing behaviour to open yourself up to make larger toys slide in, I find the initial barrier of entry, so to speak sort of bypasses the unpleasant feeling like the hymen of anal play and really takes the sensations of the toy up another level.

To put it another way, if you're not warmed up or using enough lube, the the way the toy initially goes into your anus feels like a struggle and doesn't feel all that great like your body is telling you, "stop, that's not supposed to go in there" but if you give yourself a bit of stimulation and relax the muscle and this might seem stupid to say, but it feels like the folds of your anus is outside your body and only the inner lining and sensitivity receptors are feeling the dildo. When this happens, the toy doesn't go in as far as it would if you're actually pushing the out 'ring' of your anus inside your body. I can take the toy deeper if I don't preemptively push that outer muscle.

Any idea what I'm talking about here?
