[TW: Orientation play, porn, hypnosis(?)] Gen Z But Still Don't Understand the Appeal of Porn or Sex
Hi everyone! I've lurked around this sub a little so hopefully I'm formatting this post correctly. It's a lot more embarrassing than I was expecting >~<
Anyways, a lot of you on here talk about how it's natural for women to be submissive and Gen Z especially is porn-brained. I don't think that's true as a whole, but my friends do have boyfriends or girlfriends or can talk about people they find attractive. I've never really felt that. There are really pretty (usually older) women I get flustered around, but there's no actual desire to do anything about it.
I've looked at nudity, in person and online. I've skimmed lots of different kinds of porn to see if it does anything for me, and no. I even tried some silly hypnosis spirals! It's fun to watch the music and colors but all of it -- sex in general I guess -- just seems so silly!
I guess I might be asexual or something? When I try to talk to the people around me about it though, they just say I'll 'understand when I'm older and have more experience' (which is super annoying and offensive but whatever). I'll be 19 in a few weeks. I've gone on a few dates (guys and girls) and made an earnest effort to feel anything, but I still just don't get it. Hanging out is fun! Nudity is whatever, and sex just seems uncomfortable and awkward and I can't imagine myself ever wanting to do it. The idea makes me laugh.
I'd love advice and perspective, especially from other feminists or lesbians.
Thanks and have a good day :)
