At the beginning of the century to the present year, at the peak of each new moon, a pulse of ethereal energy has poured over the coasts of the Lotus Empire. While not everything that is touched by the wave twists, the things which are affected become strange indeed. Sometimes buildings warp into strange twisted shapes, sometimes sprouting new rooms, or sprouting legs and running away. Sometimes animals become Twisted, becoming monstrous things. Sometimes people twist, changing shape, sex, age... anything you can imagine.

The Twisted are not always violent, but they are amplified versions of what they once were. Desires, instincts, strengths, and flaws all become exaggerated beyond reason. Those that are gluttonous consume things that are wrong, those that are fast become lightning, and those that lust over the carnal desires of flesh flirt and fuck all that they may choose - sometimes even when their advances are unwelcome.

This energy, now known as Lustre, comes from Eden, a strange fog covered archipelago in the East. Every year the Lustre pulses have increased both in their intensity and volume. This is worsened in that those that are already Twisted by Lustre change even further with each pulse, becoming more lusty, more violent... The Lotus Empire has tried what they can to contain the damages, but there's only so much that can be done. The best mages and doctors have failed to find cures, and folk are fearful of what's to come.

Each month since the first wave, the Empire has sent expeditions of various calibers out into the waters to find the source of the Lustre. Thus far, 68 expeditions to Eden have failed. None of the research teams have returned a single message. Small private team? Lost. Imperial marines? Missing for months.

The new moon is about to rise, and that means it's time for another ship to set sale.

This RP will focus primarily on surviving the islands while our characters try to learn about Lustre and the Twisted. There will be adventure, violence, negotiation, and of course sex. I expect our characters to scavenge, explore ruins, fully twisted towns, and to deal with all of the strange dangers along the way. Both intelligent and non-intelligent monsters live on the islands, so expect a variety in the encounters and threats our characters will face. What we play as is completely up to us, be they humans or twisted, expeditioners coming from the mainland, or some of the strange inhabitants of Eden. Though for my main character(s) I do intend to play as Twisted

I'm looking for a long term RP if that wasn't obvious. Also keep in mind that I roleplay **exclusively** on Discord. Staging the RP on Reddit while we get to know each other is preferred, but the main portion will be moved to Discord fairly quickly.

Here's a quick bio and what I expect from you, and what you can expect from me:

I'm a 19M roleplayer, and I've been roleplaying for around 2 years now, but I've been writing short stories for longer. I'm looking for a **strictly** literate RP. I usually write 2+ paragraphs and expect someone can consistently write similarly long amounts.

Usually I do purely narrative RP, but I've also been experimenting with using a system called Ironsworn, and if you're open to it, I'd love to use a version of it for this RP. If you don't know, Ironsworn is a rules-light TTRPG designed for solo and small group roleplay. It enables you to easily GM for yourself by using a system of interpretive dice rolls called oracles. It's a very simple system, and the stats and numbers are incredibly simple (character stats range from 1-3, and NPCs don't have any stats). It's pretty easy to learn how to get into, so if you are at all interested in using a roleplaying system, let me know! If you want to stay dice free, that's also okay, but I would recommend giving it a try.

In this RP, I would like one of us to act as a primary GM, or to both co-GM the world while playing 2-4 main characters at any given time while adjusting naturally as the story develops. Whether or not I am GM, I would like to also have a main PC to have a more juicy relationship between our characters. I of course **do** have a plot in mind, but if you have your own ideas or world you would like to pitch, you are more than welcome! On the note of characters, I **very rarely** do any MxM pairings. Pretty much everything else is fair game including herm (Fu). Keep in mind that I am a switch, and can both comfortably dom and sub. (and hopefully both).

In most roleplays I tend to play any important characters as inhuman, be they kemonomimi, furries, monsters, or humanoids. If I am GMing, I will also play more typical species, but I love playing things with tails, fur, and feathers much more! I love exotic species and characters, and would love to see your most unique picks. If it's your jam, I also sometimes play feral characters (only the intelligent kind).

Usually I roleplay in third person present, though first person present is also acceptable if that's your preferred writing style. I don't expect perfection by any means, and do enjoy both casual and formal writing styles so long as everything is properly capitalized and easy to read.
