Need help on what I should do.
I have been a waitress at a gentleman‘s club for over 6 months now. I truly get constant attention at this club and every shift I have , I am being asked for VIP dances/ why I’m not a dancer, ect. Men will tell me they like me more than certain dancers. A lot of the girls there will ask me why I am not dancing as well. I realized that I had the opportunity to make a lot more money than I am now, as this club does not let servers dance. I have seen the manager let a couple of girls who were servers start to be dancers. I finally had the courage to ask to start dancing as well, and the manager told me to try a new club/ go to a different club but to still be a server through them, and that he wouldn’t let me dance. I was genuinely confused as to why he would say no. He has seen first hand the amount of attention I get. I thought maybe he doesnt think I’m attractive enough, but than why would he have me employed as a server there dealing with these men every night. last night was my breaking point, as a new server started, she asked to dance and he said yes on her second night. I was enraged and just left early. I am truly starting to feel like I’m degrading myself still working here under this manager. why would my manager keep me there as a server but won’t let me dance ?
