So, due to my work (and a few other factors) I often end up in the hospital and thus am quite close to a lot of the staff (my local hospital isn’t that large). One of my friend’s fiancé is a paramedic there and she introduced me to the star of this post and the nurse that often checks up on me.
She’s a decently tall woman of Irish heritage so she’s a quite pale redhead. Most of her body is quite skinny which makes it almost absurd just how “thicc” her ass. She’s confessed to ripping some foul SBDs on long nursing shifts because of all the coffee she drinks. She HATES coffee, one because of the taste and two because of how much it ruins her insides but she still drinks it because… hey you try doing a 12 hour nursing shift without any caffeine.
One time I was in the back of the paramedic’s car with the nurse in the front and she started ranting and told this story of an older gentleman she was caring for. He was apparently insanely rude, sexist, all sorts to her and the other nurses. So what she did is essentially crop dust him while he was stuck in his hospital bed the entire time. To add insult to injury shortly after a while the man’s family came to pick him up and they started complaining to him about the smell. The old man tried to blame my nurse, obviously, but she played dumb saying that she didn’t even notice a smell. The family then told the old man off for being gross and trying to blame it on the young nurse, who obviously was just trying to be nice to him.
This was apparently the highlight of her day. Then from the backseat I dropped the joke, “you can really call that GASlighting.” To which she whipped around because apparently she forgot I was there. She then got super embarrassed because if she had remembered I was there she wouldn’t have told such a gross story about herself.
So yeah, just a good short tale from one of my friends (because I haven’t posted in ages). Got to see her recently which is what reminded me of it. I hope to see her more, hopefully without ending up in the hospital bed.
