My (23f) father’s best friend (65M)
So basically, my parents had lunch plans with their friends today, and in their group, the couples’ children have always tagged along until they formed their own groups. Today, my parents insisted that I (23F) join them since my group of friends wasn’t going out, so I ended up agreeing.
Even during lunch, I could tell that my dad’s best friend (65M) was making eyes at me and trying to strike up a conversation, but obviously none of us said anything. But as the meal was coming to an end, they asked me if I wanted to go out for drinks, and I told them about a pub I know that was having an afternoon hangout and party later. The group ended up agreeing, and we went to the pub.
After a few drinks, I could tell my dad’s friend was getting closer and closer to talk and dance subtly. He bought me a couple of drinks, and the tension and flirting were palpable, but of course, with his wife, my parents, and half the town watching, there wasn’t much more we could do. Still, I have to admit I would have loved to spend more time alone with him because, even though he’s not my type, you can tell he’s the kind of guy who knows how to treat a woman, and at my age, he was a player…
In the end, we all went home, but under different circumstances, the night would have ended differently. Maybe it’ll happen in the future.
