“It Started With Fairy Smut” - A Quinn Story
The frustrated screenwriter in me has started imagining pitching a story to Ryan Murphy built entirely around the Audio Erotica journey we’ve all apparently been on.
Premise:
A seemingly respectable woman innocently starts reading Romantasy, discovers Quinn, libido skyrockets and chaos ensues.
So far I have:
• opening scene where she learns the dark arts of burner email addresses, hidden app and photo folders, slutty usernames and carefully curated ghost Instagram accounts.
• late night shopping in Best Buy purchasing absurdly expensive noise-cancelling, showerproof earbuds because apparently listening to audio erotica while shampooing has somehow become part of her self-care routine.
• the inevitable “just one audio before bed” decision that somehow ends with birds chirping at 5am, followed by listening at work, on Zoom calls, the supermarket, the gym… basically anywhere except church.
• joining 3 Discords and 4 Patreons like she’s assembling the Infinity Stones.
• becoming emotionally invested in strangers debating parasocial relationships on Reddit as though it’s geopolitics.
• the accumulation of more sex toys than an entire season of SATC, despite previously believing “one reliable vibrator” was perfectly acceptable.
• and a deeply concerning emotional attachment to a man she only knows as “Voicelikechocolate74”
What scenes or subplots; imagined or real absolutely need to be in this film?
