21M Looking for Atla RP Partners. OC/Canon AU, Long-Term but Casual
Lately I’ve been deep back into the Atla universe, and I’ve been wanting to do a fun, character-driven RP set in my own Avatar AU. I have server lore provided at the bottom of this post.
What I’m looking for is people who would be interested in filling other roles in the story. You can play an OC, a canon character if they fit the timeline, or one of the existing characters from the AU if any of them interest you. I’m open to discussing what works best. The only role I’m not looking to give away is Avatar Zaku, since that’s who I’d be writing.
This is mostly just for fun, so I’m not trying to make it overly intense or stressful, but I would still like it to be active. I always respond a few times a day when I can, and I appreciate partners who communicate if they get busy.
All of the rp will not center around the Avatar, but be more centered on the world right after the genocide. Political drama, war-era stories, travel/adventure, romance, found family, spiritual Avatar stuff, city conflict, rebuilding after war, or something more slice-of-life depending on what characters people want to play.
I write in third person and usually prefer literate/semi-literate replies. I write longer posts when the scene calls for it, but I’m also fine mirroring my partner’s length as long as there’s enough to work with.
I’m in EST and I do have real-life responsibilities, so I may not always reply instantly, but I’m always around throughout the day and will try to keep communication open.
In 26 BG, Avatar Roku confronted Fire Lord Sozin over the Fire Nation’s occupation of Yu Dao, the first colony planted in the Earth Kingdom. Roku warned him that the balance of the world was not a thing to be bent around one man’s ambition. Sozin listened, bowed his head, and promised restraint. Yet he never truly withdrew from Yu Dao. He claimed the colony had grown too tangled with Earth Kingdom life to abandon overnight, and that leaving too quickly would cause chaos. Ten years later, in 16 BG, Avatar Roku died on his home island after the volcano’s eruption. With the Avatar gone, Sozin no longer had anyone powerful enough to stand between his vision for the future and the rest of the world. In the years that followed, the Fire Nation grew richer, and more dangerous. Its navy expanded. Its armies hardened. Its colonies pressed deeper into the western coast of the Earth Kingdom, taking ports, roads, farmland, and mountain passes under the excuse of protection. This is not the smaller world history remembers. In this timeline, the Four Nations are vast, each holding nearly one hundred million people, with oceans wider, kingdoms broader, and issues bigger than the war. The story begins on the day before the genocide. The Fire Nation is at the height of its strength. The Earth Kingdom is divided by distance, pride, and politics. The Water Tribes watch the horizon with growing dread. And the Air Nomads feel the storm coming, but not quickly enough to name it.
