🌿 Feeling Alive Instead of Just Existing

🌿 Feeling Alive Instead of Just Existing

There’s something about places like this that instantly changes how you feel.

The sound of the water crashing against the rocks.
The power behind it.
The cold splashes hitting your skin while everything around you feels completely alive.

Standing there, you stop feeling like you’re just moving through another day.

You actually feel present.

🌊 Nature in its rawest form

Moments like this make me feel closer to nature—but also closer to myself.

No distractions.
No pressure.
No noise from everyday life.

Just the sound of rushing water and the feeling of nature surrounding you from every direction.

And somehow, that changes everything.

🌿 What changes inside you

The tension in my body disappears almost instantly.

And mentally?
The overthinking fades.

Places like this have a way of pulling you out of your own head.

All the stress, frustration, and negativity slowly get replaced by something much simpler:

Joy.
Freedom.
Happiness.

🌄 What modern life forgets

I honestly think modern life disconnects people from these feelings.

We spend so much time indoors, rushing from one thing to another, constantly distracted and pushing ourselves further.

But nature does something to your health—both mentally and physically—that people underestimate massively.

You feel it the moment you stop and allow yourself to experience it.

🌱 Why naturism feels so natural here

For me, naturism fits perfectly into places like this because nothing feels artificial anymore.

No layers.
No pretending.
No separation between yourself and the environment around you.

Just your body, nature, and the moment itself.

And I think a lot of people secretly crave that feeling… they’re just afraid to step outside what society considers normal.

🌞 What I’ve learned

  • Nature has a way of resetting both body and mind
  • Raw environments make you feel truly present
  • Overthinking disappears when you reconnect with the moment
  • Freedom often starts when you stop separating yourself from nature

At some point, you realise:

👉 The more time I spend in nature… the more I become myself.

💬 Question for the community

Do you think people are secretly craving more connection with nature and freedom than they admit?

🇩🇰 Naturism in Denmark: Relaxed Beaches and Scandinavian Freedom 🌿🌊

Denmark is known for its relaxed and open-minded attitude toward naturism, especially around its long coastline and quiet beach areas 🌿

Unlike countries focused on large naturist resorts, Denmark offers a more natural and freedom-oriented experience where people quietly enjoy nature and the sea.

With wide beaches, dunes, and peaceful coastal scenery, Denmark is a great destination for naturists who enjoy calm and simplicity.

🌱 Is Denmark beginner-friendly?

👉 Yes—very relaxed and approachable

  • 🌿 Fanø Island Beaches Large open beaches with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space

  • 🌄 Læsø Island Coastal Areas Peaceful beaches surrounded by nature, popular for quiet and respectful naturist experiences

  • ⚖️ Public nudity itself is generally not illegal
  • ✔️ Naturism is accepted on many beaches
  • ❗ Respect and common sense are still important

🌿 Why Naturism Feels More Natural Than People Expect

A lot of people assume naturism would feel strange or uncomfortable.

But for many, the surprising part is the opposite:

How natural it actually feels.

🌱 The fear is usually bigger than the reality

Before trying naturism, people often overthink it.

  • “What if I feel awkward?”
  • “What if people judge me?”
  • “What if I don’t fit in?”

But once they experience the environment, those worries usually fade quickly.

🤝 The atmosphere changes everything

Naturist spaces tend to feel very different from everyday environments.

  • People are more relaxed
  • Conversations feel more genuine
  • There’s less pressure to impress

That relaxed atmosphere helps people settle in naturally.

🌿 You stop focusing on appearance

After a while, your attention shifts away from how you look.

Instead, you start noticing:

  • The warmth of the sun ☀️
  • The feeling of fresh air 🌬️
  • The calmness of nature 🌿

The experience becomes less about nudity and more about comfort.

🌍 Simplicity is part of the appeal

For many naturists, the appeal is how simple everything feels.

  • No fashion pressure 💭
  • No social competition 🧠
  • No need to pretend 🌿

Just people being themselves.

And that simplicity is what keeps many people coming back.

💬 Community Question

What do you think makes naturism feel so natural for many people?

Or if you’re new — what part of naturism seems most different from what you expected?

🌿☀️ Sometimes the simplest moments become the best memories

This photo was taken while exploring along the beach 🌊 Just walking around, enjoying the warm weather ☀️ and taking in the peaceful atmosphere around me.

At one point, I noticed this piece of driftwood with a natural opening through it. I instantly thought it would make a beautiful and artistic photo 📸

So I placed the camera down and just stood there, looking out over the surroundings.

Nothing planned.
Nothing forced.
Just enjoying the moment.

🌊 The feeling of the day

The beach felt calm and hidden away from everything else. One of those places where you can truly unwind and forget about time for a while.

And honestly… that’s exactly what happened 😅

I was just exploring, walking, enjoying the freedom, and before I realised it, hours had passed.

🌿 Why moments like this matter

For me, naturism has always been about moments like these.

Not about posing.
Not about attention.

Just freedom, peace, nature, and feeling completely yourself.

Being bare in places like this makes everything feel more real and connected. The warmth of the sun ☀️ the sand under your feet, the sea air 🌊… you experience all of it differently.

Sometimes the smallest moments end up becoming the ones you remember the most 🌿

💬 Do you also have simple moments that unexpectedly became special memories? ☀️

u/JeroenTheNaturist — 6 days ago

🌿 Sometimes you just stop for the view ☁️🌿

This spot took about 30 minutes to reach, and honestly… the second the landscape opened up, my first thought was:

“I need to see that view properly.” 😄

So of course I stopped for a moment.

It wasn’t planned at all—just one of those spontaneous moments during a hike where everything feels right 🌿

Cloudy skies, perfect temperature, quiet surroundings… just peaceful.

There were a few mountain bikers passing through the trail, but everyone was respectful and just enjoying the outdoors in their own way 🚵‍♂️✨

Meanwhile the dog had absolutely zero interest in the scenery 😂🐕

He was too busy exploring everything around him like there was some hidden treasure in the bushes.

I didn’t stay very long though.

No deep reason, no big plan—just took the moment in, snapped the photo, and kept moving.

But honestly, those are usually the best moments.

Simple, peaceful, and real 🌱

Sometimes that’s all you need.

💬 What’s a place that instantly makes you stop and take in the view? 😄

u/JeroenTheNaturist — 9 days ago

🌿 The Higher I Climb, The More I Realise…

I’ve been a naturist since I was about 6 years old, so being bare outdoors has always felt natural to me.

And yet, moments like this still remind me why I love it so much.

Standing at the top of a hike with nothing around you except open space, fresh air, and nature stretching for miles… it changes something in you.

In the distance, I could see a pack of deer moving across the landscape while my dog sat beside me, completely calm.

And honestly, everything just felt right.

🌄 The climb changes more than your view

The hike itself already helped clear my head.

Step by step, the overthinking faded.
The higher I climbed, the calmer I became.

By the time I reached the top, all the negative thoughts had disappeared.

Not because I forced them away—but because nature has a way of doing that on its own.

🌱 Growing up with this lifestyle

Since naturism has been part of my life from such a young age, I’ve always felt more connected to nature when I’m bare.

The wind.
The ground beneath your feet.
The open air around you.

It never felt strange to me.

It felt normal.

And standing there on top of the mountain reminded me of that again.

🌊 Why hiking with my dogs makes it even better

My dogs honestly make moments like this even more enjoyable.

They keep me active, happy, and aware of my surroundings. Usually they notice people long before I do 😄

But one thing I’ve always noticed with animals is how quickly they accept things.

No judgement.
No overthinking.
No caring what someone looks like.

Just presence.

🌿 The sad reality sometimes

I do think many people are more afraid of naturism now than before.

Mostly because of the bad behaviour that sometimes happens at nudist beaches or resorts.

And that’s unfortunate, because for me this lifestyle has never been about anything sexual.

It’s about peace.
Freedom.
Feeling connected to yourself and the world around you.

🌞 What changes over time

The more experiences I have like this, the less I care about appearances or being unexpectedly seen.

Not in a careless way—but in a comfortable way.

Because when you grow up naturist, you eventually realise that most of the pressure people feel about their bodies comes from society… not nature.

🌿 What I’ve learned

  • Nature has a way of clearing negative thoughts
  • The climb is often just as important as the destination
  • Animals remind us how simple life can be
  • Growing up naturist taught me to see the body as natural, not shameful

At some point, you realise:

👉 The higher I climb, the more I realise that nature is a healer.

💬 Question for the community

Do you feel more mentally connected to nature when you’re bare outdoors?

🇬🇷 Naturism in Greece: Freedom, Islands, and Hidden Beaches 🌊☀️

Greece is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe for naturism, known for its islands, warm climate, and stunning coastal scenery 🌿

While naturism in Greece is often more informal than in countries like France or Croatia, many beaches and islands have long been popular with naturists.

The combination of clear water, quiet coves, and relaxed summer culture makes Greece a favourite destination for many naturists.

🌱 Is Greece beginner-friendly?

👉 Yes—but it depends on the location

  • 🌊 Many quiet beaches and hidden coves
  • ☀️ Relaxed holiday atmosphere
  • 🌿 Naturism is common in some tourist areas
  • ❗ Not every beach officially allows naturism

Greece is often best for people who enjoy more natural and less structured environments.

🏖 Naturist Places in Greece

Here are some well-known locations:

  • 🌊 Red Beach (Crete) A famous naturist-friendly beach known for its beautiful scenery and relaxed atmosphere

  • 🌿 Banana Beach (Skiathos) A popular beach where naturism is common in certain sections

  • 🌄 Paradise Beach (Mykonos) Known internationally for its open and free-spirited beach culture

⚖️ Naturism & Nudity Laws in Greece

Naturism in Greece is generally tolerated in accepted areas:

  • ⚖️ Officially, public nudity is restricted outside designated areas
  • ✔️ Naturism is common on many remote or tourist beaches
  • ❗ Respect for local culture and families is important
  • ✔️ Quiet and discreet behaviour is recommended

Choosing known naturist-friendly locations helps avoid problems.

Greece attracts naturists from all over the world 🤝

Many people enjoy:

  • 🏝 Island beaches and hidden coves
  • 🌊 Warm Mediterranean water
  • ☀️ Long summer seasons

🌿 Why Naturism Feels Different From Everyday Life

A lot of people describe naturism in the same way after trying it for the first time:

“It just felt… different.”

Not because of nudity — but because of the atmosphere around it.

🌱 There’s less pressure

In everyday life, there’s often pressure without even noticing it.

  • How you look
  • What you wear
  • How you present yourself
  • What others might think

Naturism removes a lot of that automatically.

And when that pressure disappears, people usually relax with it.

🤝 People interact differently

One thing many newcomers notice is how normal conversations feel.

  • People are more open
  • There’s less pretending
  • The environment feels more equal

Without status, fashion, or appearance being the focus, interactions often feel more genuine.

🌿 You become more present

Naturism has a way of bringing your attention back to the moment.

  • Feeling the breeze 🌬️
  • Feeling the warmth of the sun ☀️
  • Hearing nature around you 🌿

Simple things suddenly feel more noticeable.

🌬️ Confidence changes naturally

A common misconception is that you need confidence before trying naturism.

But for many people, confidence actually comes later.

Not because they changed their body — but because they changed the way they see themselves.

🌍 What makes it meaningful

For many naturists, it’s not really about nudity at all.

It’s about:

  • freedom 🌿
  • acceptance 💚
  • simplicity ☀️
  • connection with nature 🌍

And that’s what makes the experience feel so different.

💬 Community Question

Or if you’re new — what part of it stands out most to you?

👉 Sometimes old memories deserve a revisit 🌲✨

🌲✨ Sometimes old memories deserve a revisit

This photo was taken around 5 years ago, back when I was living in Sweden 🇸🇪 I used to spend a lot of time hiking through the forests behind my house with my dogs 🐕🌲 Just walking for hours, exploring random paths and seeing where they would lead.

On this particular day, I came across this old wooden lookout hidden between the trees. It wasn’t planned, just one of those unexpected things you randomly find while exploring nature. And of course… I had to climb it 😅

The weather was chilly 🌬️ The forest was quiet except for the sounds of nature around me. I still remember the smell of the trees, the fresh air, and that calm atmosphere the forest always had.

Looking back at this photo now feels strange in a way.

Even though I looked free in this moment, I was actually struggling a lot mentally back then. I was dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts during that period of my life.

But nature always gave me small moments of peace 🌿 Moments where my mind became quieter. Moments where I could breathe again.

And honestly, hiking through forests like this with my dogs probably helped me more than I realised at the time.

Even after all these years, the feeling itself never changed. The freedom, the connection with nature, and the feeling of being completely myself while being bare outdoors is still something that means a lot to me.

Sometimes it’s nice to look back at older memories and realise how far you’ve come ✨

💬 Do old photos ever remind you of moments that helped shape who you are today? 🌲

Some hikes turn into stories 🌿

🌿 Photobombing the naturist 🐕😂

Found this little hidden spot during a hike with the dogs 🌲

It’s one of those trails that barely anyone uses, but somehow ends up being way more beautiful than the popular ones.

And honestly… finding places like this is half the fun 😄

Or in this case, the dog found it first.

Next thing I know, I’m climbing over rocks, walking through the stream, trying not to slip every five seconds 😂

At least it looked adventurous.

For me though, it was mostly just peaceful 🌿

Cold water, quiet surroundings, no stress, no rush… exactly the kind of moments I enjoy most.

Meanwhile the dog was clearly planning his next photobomb 🐕😂

And somehow that’s what made this moment even better.

No perfect setup, no planning—just exploring, relaxing, and seeing where the trail goes.

Honestly, life feels a lot better when you stop overthinking and just follow the adventure a little 🌱✨

💬 Have you ever discovered a great place completely by accident? 😄

u/JeroenTheNaturist — 16 days ago

🌿 Sometimes You Just Need to Stop

There are days where your mind feels full before the day has even really started.

That day was one of them.

Too many thoughts. Too much stress. Too much overthinking.

So I went out into nature and ended up sitting here, looking out over the sea.

And honestly… it was exactly what I needed.

🌊 The reset

I found this spot and just stayed there.

For two hours.

No music. No distractions. No pressure to do anything productive.

Just the wind, the sea, the rocks beneath me, and the feeling of nature slowly washing everything away.

🌿 What nature does differently

At some point, the thoughts just disappeared.

Not because I forced them away—but because nature has a way of rinsing your mind clean.

The wind on your skin.
The ground beneath you.
The fresh air.
Everything around you pulls you back into the moment.

And when you’re bare, you feel all of it even more.

🌄 A feeling that’s hard to explain

If I had to describe that moment in a few words:

Relaxing.
Freedom.
Connected.

Not connected to people.
Not connected to my phone.

Connected to nature.

🌞 Why these moments matter

I honestly think people underestimate how important quiet moments are.

Society constantly pushes us to keep going, keep working, keep chasing the next thing.

But sometimes the best thing you can do is stop for a while and just breathe.

No expectations.
No noise.
No pressure.

🌿 What I’ve learned

  • Slowing down is healthy
  • Nature clears the mind in ways nothing else can
  • Being bare makes you feel more connected to the moment
  • Peace usually comes when you stop forcing things

At some point, you realise:

👉 Sometimes the best thing you can do is take a break and let nature quiet your mind.

💬 Question for the community

When was the last time you truly slowed down and just let yourself exist in the moment?

Trying naturism for the first time can feel like a big step. A lot of people imagine it being uncomfortable… or even a little intimidating. But the reality is usually much simpler than expected.

🌱 The moment before

Before that first moment, there’s often a mix of thoughts:

  • “What if it feels awkward?”
  • “What if people look at me?”
  • “What if I don’t feel comfortable?”

That hesitation is completely normal.

🤝 The first few minutes

The beginning can feel unfamiliar. But something important happens quickly:

  • You realise no one is paying special attention
  • People are relaxed and just going about their day
  • The environment feels calm, not tense

And that initial tension starts to fade.

🌿 Settling into it

After a short time, your focus shifts. You stop thinking about how you look and start noticing how you feel:

  • More relaxed
  • More present
  • More at ease

That’s usually when things begin to click.

🌬️ The turning point

For many people, there’s a quiet moment where everything changes. It’s not dramatic — just a simple thought:

“This actually feels… normal.”

🌍 What people take away

Your first experience isn’t about being perfect or fearless. It’s about realising:

  • It’s more natural than expected 🌿
  • It’s less intimidating than imagined 💭
  • It’s more comfortable than it seems ☀️

💬 Community Question

Do you remember your first naturism experience? Or if you haven’t tried it — what part of it makes you most curious or unsure?

🌞🐕 This is what my normal day looks like

A simple walk. Sunshine ☀️ Yellow flowers all around 🌼 and two happy dogs leading the way 🐕

Nothing special… but at the same time, everything feels right.

This is part of my everyday life. Running my own dog services business isn’t just work—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. It gives me a sense of pride, freedom, and purpose.

And moments like this remind me why I chose this path.

🌿 A lifestyle, not just a job

Most people would see this as just another walk.

For me, it’s more than that.

It’s being outside, moving, connecting—with the dogs, with nature, and with myself.

I catch myself thinking about it sometimes… this is actually my life. And I’m grateful for it every single day.

🐕 The small things

  • The dogs just enjoying the moment 🐾
  • People passing by, some curious, most not even noticing 👀
  • The energy of everything coming back with summer ☀️🌼

Simple things, but they make a difference.

🌱 What it means to me

This is freedom.

Not in a big dramatic way, but in the small everyday moments. Doing something you enjoy, being outside, living in a way that feels natural.

Being bare only adds to that. It makes me feel more connected, more present, more myself.

💬 Do you have moments in your daily life where you stop and realise… this is exactly how you want to live? 🌿

u/JeroenTheNaturist — 20 days ago

I was on my way back from a small hike, heading towards town along this quiet road 🌲

Nothing special about it—just part of the route.

But then the scenery hit.

One of those moments where everything just looks right… and your brain goes, “yeah, we’re stopping here” 😄

So I did.

Stood there for a second, just taking it all in 🌿

And it felt… normal.
But also kind of amazing at the same time.

Like this is exactly how it should be—simple, free, no layers ✨
And at the same time… something most people never really experience.

At some point I caught myself thinking,
why can’t we all just live like this?

No pressure, no overthinking. Just existing 🌱

I half expected someone to show up at any moment… but nope 😅

Just me, the road, the trees… and a bit of silence 🌲

Didn’t stay long though.

Dropped the phone, took the photo, picked it up, and kept moving 😄📸

But yeah… moments like that stick with you.

Life’s too short not to enjoy them—even if they only last a few seconds ✨

💬 What’s a moment that made you stop without even thinking about it? 😊

u/JeroenTheNaturist — 23 days ago

Walking like this isn’t always the “easy” option.

But for me, it’s the right one.

Being bare calms me. It relaxes me.
There’s a level of freedom you just don’t get any other way.

And once you feel that… it’s hard to ignore.

🌱 Convenience vs comfort

I think most people choose convenience.

It’s easier. It’s what everyone does. It avoids questions, looks, or stepping outside what’s considered “normal.”

But comfort?

That’s something different.

Not just physical comfort—but mental.

And I think a lot of people actually feel that difference… they just don’t realise it yet.

🌊 What I feel out here

Walking along the beach like this, it’s simple.

The fresh air.
The salt.
The feeling of everything just… clearing out.

Your body feels clean.
Your mind slows down.

There’s nothing extra—just the moment.

🌄 It’s not always convenient

Of course, there are moments where it’s less practical.

Situations where you have to be more aware, more respectful, more prepared.

But that doesn’t stop me.

Because what I get from it is worth more than the small inconveniences.

🌞 Why I keep choosing it

At the end of the day, it’s not about doing what’s easiest.

It’s about doing what feels right.

What feels healthy.

What actually makes you feel good—in your body and in your mind.

🌿 What I’ve learned

  • Easy isn’t always better
  • Comfort isn’t just physical—it’s mental
  • A lot of people feel it, even if they don’t act on it
  • Sometimes you have to step outside the norm to feel what’s natural

At some point, you realise:

👉 Most people choose what’s easy… but I choose what feels healthy.
