At the end of summer, I went to Saguenay (more precisely Jonquière) because my family lives there. Every summer, my mom takes us to visit them.
We arrived around 8:00 PM. I dropped my bags off at my grandfather’s place, then went out walking with my cousins (we were all around 13–14 years old: Zack, Yorick, and Vincent).
About 2 hours later, Zack asked if he could stop by his place to grab something (I don’t remember what). We said okay, so we went with him.
On the way back, around 11:45 PM, we passed by a park. There were water fountains, so we stopped to drink. There were two of them, so Yorick and Vincent started first while Zack and I waited.
While I was waiting, I noticed a yellow silhouette in the distance. At first, I thought it was just a metal pole or something like that, especially since there were water games nearby and it was hard to see clearly.
I started drinking, and then Zack jokingly said: “Alright, I’m leaving you with the guy, bye.” I ran to catch up with the others. Vincent then said: “Ahhh, there’s a guy chasing us!”
So we all started running.
After about 8 minutes of running, we saw a store with lights on, so we went toward it. We stopped and caught our breath a bit.
Then Zack looked toward a “welcome” sign and saw a person wearing a yellow hoodie standing behind it. He told us, and about 2 seconds later, the person leaned slightly out, waved at us… and then started chasing us again.
We ran again.
About 5 minutes later, we reached a well-lit street with a bunch of bars, so we finally stopped running.
I turned around and saw him about 30–40 feet behind us, standing completely still behind some bushes.
We decided to call the police. They told us not to move and that they were on their way. We sat on a sidewalk and waited about 10 minutes.
When they arrived, we explained everything. They said they would patrol the area for a while.
