My trans girlfriend and I are interested in making new friends with some lovely people who we feel comfortable with and can realistically build a strong rapport with that lasts a few years.

She's being treated for her dysphoria and we have a community online who we can talk to, thankfully, but they're mostly overseas! We're not sure where to begin to look unless it's a dating app, which doesn't appear to be a realistic option for what we're looking for.

Any advice? We're moving closer to the city soon, so thought I'd ask!
