“Ugh not again” I said closing the break room fridge , someone took my lunch again I put my name on it and someone took it again , I sighed and slumped into a seat at the table , looks like I’m door dashing my food again. I took out my phone and started going through door dash , not like it’ll be here on time and looks like I’m going to have to eat while taking patients again.
The door to the break room opened I looked up to see the new nurse Ally? I think her name was , she came in the room looking like she’s looking for something
I look up from my door dash scrolling “looking for anything?” I asked
“How good is the microwave in here?” She asked coming in
“It’s decent it’ll heat up your food pretty quick in one go” I said going back to my door dash
“Oh great!” She said strolling over to the microwave, she opened in and placed her Tupperware In the microwave and started the microwave, I caught a glimpse of her from the corner of my eye , her dark blue scrubs hugging her ass nicely you can almost see the outline of her ass.
She turned around and leaned on the counter “so what’d you bring for lunch?” She asked
“Sadly someone stole my lunch AGAIN and now I’m stuck with door dash.” I said still looking
“It’ll never get here on time , if you want I could share my food with you I packed too much and no way I could eat it all.” She offered
I looked up at her , shit she was cute with her light brown eyes doe like eyes she had a small beauty mark on her lip her lips full and soft pink, her light brown hair in a low ponytail which had slight faded strawberry red at the ends , must have gone through a little emo phase.
“You sure?” I ask her putting my phone down
She smiled “please! I insist I packed way too much , but I guess that’s what happens when you get used to cooking for many people she says “where are your paper plates?” She asked
“I got it” I said as I got up to go grab them
‘BEEP! BEEP!’ The microwave went off , she grabbed a paper towel and took out her Tupperware and opened it , it looked like a pasta and vodka sauce deal with a side of garlic bread on the side
I grabbed the paper plates and plastic forks she dumped some onto my plate , I sat down
“So you cooked for a lot of people?”I asked her
She took a seat and “yea I use to cook for the hospital I worked for before I came here” she said , I took a bite of her penne vodka
“Shit! That’s possibly the best penne vodka I had” it actually is , it’s like restaurant quality
She chuckled “oh stop” she said
“No seriously , I’m not just saying it to be nice.”
“Heh I did go to culinary school before going to nursing.” She said taking a fork full of penne
“Well it’s amazing” I said taking another forkful
“Jack by the way.” I said
She smiled damn she’s cute when she smiles “Alex” she said
“So where did you work before this?” I asked
“Saint Lucia Hospital” she said , shit that is one of the busiest trauma centers in the city one of the few actually.
“They are busy I don’t blame you for leaving”
She went silent and picked up another forkful
“I’m sorry did I?” I asked , I didn’t want to upset the hand the literally fed me.
“That’s not why I left .. A lot of personal reasons but yea”
I looked up at the time “well fuck looks like we need to get back” I said getting up “thankyou for the food again Alex.” I said , she got up with me she smiled back “no problem Jack” she said
