Hello, my fellow writers! Today I come looking for a long-term, slow-burning roleplay, since I've been craving something like it for a while now! I wantanimal to preface this post by stating that while there will be smut, this is a more story-focused idea. Where telling a story together takes priority over quick sex scenes.

I consider myself fairly literate and expect the same of my writing partners. Things like spelling mistakes happen; my English is far from perfect, seeing as it isn't my native language. But proper punctuation would be greatly appreciated.

This Roleplay will take place on Discord in a designated server, as that is what I prefer. I also write in the third-person past tense, as it's the format I am most comfortable with. I usually write somewhere around 3-4 paragraphs or close to the Discord text limit, and would appreciate the same effort from my partner.

I will post the two prompts below:

Character A:

A disciplined pilot/soldier from a powerful military faction.

Loyal, guarded, and raised to believe the enemy cannot be trusted.

Character B:

A rebel fighter from the opposing side.

Resourceful, sharp-tongued, and used to surviving without help, especially from someone like A.

The Situation:

After a brutal fight in orbit, both A and B crash-land on the same planet. Their ships are destroyed. Their factions are gone. It's just the two of them. At first, they keep their distance, watching, waiting, expecting the other to strike first. But the planet is unforgiving: violent storms, dangerous terrain, and something lurking just out of sight.

Character A:

A disciplined border officer, loyal to her government and raised to distrust the other side.

Character B:

A smuggler from the rival nation, clever, charming, and constantly slipping through patrols.

Situation:

Character A finally catches Character B during a routine inspection, but instead of turning her in, she hesitates. B offers information about a growing threat that could destroy both nations. Forced into secret meetings to exchange intel, they begin as wary allies. Every encounter risks exposure. Every conversation chips away at what they've been taught to believe. The closer they get to the truth, the closer they get to each other, and the harder it becomes to decide where their loyalties truly lie.

Plot 1: Ash & Oath (Fantasy, Enemies to Lovers)

In a fractured kingdom where magic is outlawed, two women stand on opposite sides of a brutal conflict.

Character A is a high-ranking inquisitor, feared across the realm for her ruthless efficiency in hunting down rogue mages. She was raised to believe magic is a curse - something that destroyed her family and nearly tore the kingdom apart. Her loyalty is unquestioned, but beneath her discipline lies exhaustion and doubt she refuses to confront.

Character B is a fugitive mage, part of a hidden network trying to protect magical bloodlines from extinction. She’s clever, defiant, and carries secrets about the true history of magic - secrets that could unravel everything the kingdom stands on.

Their paths collide when A corners B during a raid… but instead of capturing her, something goes wrong. Maybe B saves A’s life from a greater threat. Maybe A hesitates for just a second too long. Either way, B escapes - but not before leaving a mark, literal or emotional.

Plot 2: Orbit Decay (Sci-Fi, Forbidden Romance)

In a sprawling interstellar regime, humanity is controlled by a powerful authoritarian government that monitors everything - including relationships.

Character A is a decorated officer stationed on a remote orbital station. She’s disciplined, composed, and deeply loyal to the system. Her life has been shaped by rules, surveillance, and the belief that order is necessary for survival.

Character B is a civilian technician - or possibly a smuggler, hacker, or political dissident - transferred to the station under suspicious circumstances. She’s sharp, observant, and far less obedient than she appears.

The catch:
Romantic relationships, especially same-sex ones, are strictly forbidden, classified as destabilizing “emotional deviations.”
