Bit confused about 18650 charging and wanted to ask.

I’ve always heard that removable batteries are better charged with an external charger instead of directly through the vape, mainly for battery health and heat reasons.

But I just got a Firewood 11 and the manual actually recommends charging the battery through the device via USB-C. It even says external chargers may overcharge the cells and cause issues with the Firewood.

That feels super contradictory to everything I’ve read before.

Anyone know why the Firewood prefers internal charging? Is it some specific voltage calibration thing or what?
