Social media knows…

So uh… does anyone else use VPNs, disable tracking, etc etc etc on their devices but STILL get a constant flow of Suboxone, OUD, and overly-dramatic “recovery” ads?

I don’t even do anything on my phone. I swear it just knows I’m in r/opiates and probably LISTENS to me talking about oxy and shit with close friends. I know that our phones are listening to us. I’m not that naive. But I haven’t seen anyone in this group bring this up. Does your phone know you’re a junkie too???

Ok so a couple days ago I saw someone in this group recommend a timed lockbox to help cut down on frequency of use. For me it’s oxy. I’ve noticed I’ve been using it more frequently than I swore I would (big surprise there), but this is following a year-long dependence on 7-o. (I quit that crap cold-turkey, but once I had access to real oxy again, all my willpower evaporated).

Today I got the lockbox and fortress-mode locked my oxy in there for two weeks. Does anyone else do this? Is it naive to think it’ll work to curb my opiate cravings but still allow me to use occasionally in the long run?
