So this thought came to me. What if I combined Science and magic?
You are a scientist who was sent into deep-space in hopes that humanity would be saved if and when you find a habitable planet that would be detected by your ships AI. And after…196 years in a cryo-sleep, you had finally found the place where humanity can live.
Now, your orders are to absolutely NOT enter the planets atmosphere, but due to a strange fluctuation in the Planet’s gravity, you were forced to launch yourself into the planet, so the main ship could maintain an orbit and not strand you there entirely.
But here’s the problem: you were stranded there entirely! Keeping the ship in orbit was a smart move, but how were you going to get back?! Wait 196 years on a possibly hostile rock until earth comes and saves the day?
This is when the crash catches some attention of the “natives”. I have a whole world and story based on this. Let me know if you have questions. I prefer subs but whatever
