All characters in this rp are to be 18+, this is a non-negotiable for me. I am not looking to replace existing partners for this roleplay. Rest assured, if I haven’t replied to you I will shortly.
The kingdom of Dendras is located mostly on unfarmable desert land. With water and food being hard to come by, Dendras turned toward war to secure resources. As a result of such conquests, the kingdom has three provinces, referred to collectively as the conquered lands. Noravi—the northernmost province—is rich in ore and magic stones. Those raised in the region are more likely to have an affinity for fire magic. To the southwest of Dendras is Basette. This region is very wooded and has ample food to hunt. Those raised in Basette are more likely to have an affinity for water magic. Lastly, there is Grisberg, a week’s travel east from Dendras. Grisberg is mostly made up of fertile farmland, and is well known for their textile production. Those raised here are more likely to have an affinity for earth magic.
Your character is from one of these conquered lands, and may have magical talent of some level if you would like.
The king of Dendras—Tielo—is best described as short tempered, impatient and abrasive in personality. He puts his people above all else, including foreign relations. Tielo sits at a sizeable height of 6’3 and has a well tanned muscular build. Unlike most royals, this king has been on the battlefield for all three conquests, and would be once more should another conflict arise. The king has sired 2 heirs, Alexei (13) and Razen (7). Alexei currently resides in the province of Grisberg at a boarding school for the elite. For safety reasons, Razen stays in Basette with a caretaker under a secret identity, should anything happen to his brother Alexei. Neither child’s mother is in the picture, and the king remains without a spouse.
As advisor of Dendras, your job is to serve the kingdom and the king in every possible way. Without a partner in the picture, the king turns to you for both advice and company, something perhaps unusual for two men at the time. Between the king’s short temper, assassination attempts and plots to destabilize the kingdom, your day to day life leaves you with little time independent of the king. Access to your time was simply too large of a risk for the kingdom to take.
When left with little option except to live day by day, what will you do as the Kingdom’s advisor? Will you lead the kingdom to prosperity, or will your advice be the kingdom’s downfall? It’s entirely up to you.
