I want to become a hentai artist and want to start posting art in a couple of years, where do i start after fundamental’s?
I’m not gonna hide from it, the main reason I started to learn how to draw is because i want to make hentai of my favorite fictional characters. If possible i also want to amass a following however with how luck based finding an audience for your art is, i can see that just not being in the cards for me and I’m fine with that.
I’m currently going through a couple of beginner books like “Fun with a Pencil” and “Drawing For The Absolute Beginner”. After i finish those books i’m moving onto Prokos Fundamental’s Course and then if i have time start with DrawABox. What im still confused is what do i need to move on to afterwards.
Figure drawing, Anatomy, Composition, and Perspective are in my eyes the important things i need to learn to start drawing hentai, everything else i can pick up afterwards. \*My main problem is i can’t figure out where to start on any of these\*. They all are important, however i can’t tell which ones are more important than the others.
The main artists i keep as inspirations and major influences are Minus8, Eipril, Arbuzbedesh, BigDeadAlive, TheMinusculeTask, Cubedcoconut and Blushmallet. Some value anatomical correctness more than the others, however i all like their compositions and their overall style. Besides learning the fundamentals i also try and copy their works whenever i can however with most of the copy’s i made ive been disappointed with them.
When it comes to learning anything about drawing i’m often overwhelmed and need to remind myself that i wont become immediately better overnight and its a years long endeavor. It will eventually come to me with time if i’m consistent and thoughtful in my practice. However i am still having doubts when it comes to learning what i listed as the most important and adapting what i like from the artists i also listed.
I appreciate any advice.
