After escaping the Tracksuit Mafia, I, Clint Barton and my apprentice, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) are recuperating at her aunt's apartment. It's the edge of Christmas, and Kate is feeling both some guilt over keeping me from getting back to my family, and her own latent "daddy" issues (CONT).

Having seen her in action multiple times, I can say she's promising as a potential candidate for replacing me as an Avenger, and has shown considerable effort to impress me, having made it more than a little obvious that she is my biggest (and only) fan. She trains well and keeps herself fit. Maybe *too* fit.

I need to get back home for Christmas Day as I'd promised my family I would. But there's something about Kate's energy that is so intoxicating and even a little exciting.
