In the last 2 years + of my sugaring experience I have met some amazing women but largely the experience has been disappointing. I learned to be cautious, to second guess and to be watchful. I always advise not to go for anything online and never extend an advance.

Through Reddit I met a young, pretty woman last year. We took a long time to meet. Met a couple of times and then lost touch. While she was nice, I felt she was a bit aloof. I took her out for coffee again so that we could break more ice but it didn't work as well as I wanted. I didn't know her real name or had her number then.

Some months ago, she sent a desperate text one night. She needed to furnish a deposit for a place she was going to rent and she was short. She asked me for help with a fairly large amount. She also made it very clear that she had stopped sugaring and had no plan to start again. I told her that I won't be comfortable with it since I didn't even know her. She then shared her real name, number and identity document and appointment letter for her job. Clarified a few other things. I asked her why she reached out to me - her answer was that she didn't have anyone else to go to. I could feel the desparation was real. I decided to help her.

She committed a period to return the amount to me. And true to her commitment, she kept her words and did it before time. And I didn't even have to follow up. We have been planning to catch up over coffee for the last few months but our schedules aren't aligning.

So yes, there are decent people still around. And I just wanted to appreciate the pretty, young woman with a conscience and a golden heart. May you flourish.

And while we all should stay watchful and cautious, there are good people around. Hope we all find such genuine people.
