{M4F} A super powered/non super powered roleplay
Hello everyone! I’m Spidey. I’m 22 years old, and I’m looking for a RP partner interested in building a grounded superhero story inspired by concepts like The Batman, Daredevil, The Boys, Cyberpunk, noir thrillers, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
I’ve been roleplaying for around 4 years and I usually write semi-lit/lit in third person, though I’m flexible depending on my partner’s style. I do work full time, and timezones can be tricky (as I’m from New Zealand), but communication matters more to me than constant replies. I’m only comfortable roleplaying with people 18+. I also RP on Discord, so once we’re settled with Reddit, I’d prefer if we moved onto that platform.
I’d love for our OCs to develop a romance over time, whether slow burn or fast-paced. It doesn’t need to be the main focus, but I think relationships help characters grow naturally and add depth to the story. I’m also open to darker themes such as gore, and optional smut, though none of that is required. Just let me know if you’d want to implement those things or not.
The world takes place in Meridian, a rain soaked city left broken after the collapse of its superhero golden age. Heroes became tools for corporations and governments instead of symbols of hope, with the city now full of corruption, surveillance, cartels, and conspiracies.
My OC is Mateo Reyes, aka The Fugitive II — a non-powered superhero vigilante carrying on his father’s legacy after his family was destroyed during the Iron Widow attacks. Armed with an old school muscle car, firearms, and pure determination, Mateo hunts the people responsible while uncovering what really happened to Meridian.
Keep in mind that this is only a brief synopsis of my OC and this fractured superhero world, there are more bits of info I can provide about this world and my OC on Reddit or once we move onto Discord. I’m also not creative with making storylines on my own, so I’m hoping we can come up with some intriguing storylines together. Your OC can be anything: A hero, villain, mercenary, detective, corporate operative, bounty hunter, anything fits.
I’m also into character references, and I’m slowly getting the hang of Pinterest boards. OOC friendship is completely optional, but I’m always happy to chat outside the RP too.
