I’m dealing with a serious issue in my marriage and I really need some advice. It’s been 3 months since our love marriage, but we still haven’t been able to have proper intercourse. My wife seems extremely afraid of penetration — whenever we try, she starts crying and says she’s in too much pain. She also says that whenever we attempt it, she feels like she gets some kind of infection or irritation afterward, possibly because her skin is very sensitive. We even visited a gynecologist, and she was given an ointment, but the problem still isn’t resolved.

We are close in other ways like cuddling and romance, and she is comfortable with that, but it never progresses further. We usually just satisfy each other externally, but it’s not fully satisfying for me and it’s starting to stress me out a lot. Recently, I’ve also noticed that her interest in intimacy seems to be decreasing, which is worrying me even more. I care about her deeply and don’t want to pressure her, but this situation is becoming emotionally difficult for me. I’m trying to understand if this is physical, psychological, or both, and what the right way is to handle it without hurting her or damaging our relationship.
