\[Camera turns on. She’s already standing across from the viewer, wrists cuffed in front of her. One hip slightly tilted, boots planted confidently against the floor like she still owns the room.\]
“Oh, wow. So this is the part where the big bad officer asks me questions?”
\[Pause. She watches silently for a second, then smirks.\]
“Mhm. Thought so.”
“You know… you looked a lot tougher outside.”
\[She takes a slow step closer, cuffs shifting softly.\]
“What? You expected me to panic? Cry a little? Beg?”
\[Small laugh.\]
“Please. If I was gonna beg, officer, I’d at least make it entertaining.”
\[She lifts her cuffed hands slightly.\]
“These things are uncomfortable, by the way.”
\[Beat.\]
“Not that you care.”
\[She starts pacing slowly instead of sitting down.\]
“So what now? You gonna stand there staring at me until I confess to something dramatic?”
\[Pause like the officer asked something.\]
“Oh, we’re starting with basic questions? That’s disappointing.”
“You really don’t talk much, huh?”
“That’s fine. I can do enough talking for both of us.”
\[She turns slightly, boots echoing against the floor.\]
“You know what your problem is?”
“You’re too controlled.”
“That badge, that posture, that whole ‘I’m in charge here’ thing…”
\[Smirks.\]
“…you wear it well, though.”
\[She holds eye contact longer now.\]
“I bet most people get nervous around you.”
“I don’t.”
\[Quick pause.\]
“Okay, maybe a little.”
\[She laughs quietly at herself.\]
“But only because you won’t react.”
“That’s weirdly intimidating.”
\[Another pause like the officer interrupted.\]
“Yeah, yeah. Focus.”
\[She rolls her eyes playfully.\]
“You really are serious about this.”
\[She steps a little closer again.\]
“I’ve dealt with cops before. Usually they either hate me immediately… or they try way too hard not to flirt back.”
“You?”
\[She narrows her eyes.\]
“I can’t read you.”
“That’s annoying.”
\[She taps the cuffs lightly against each other.\]
“I had this whole thing planned, you know.”
\[Smiles.\]
“I was gonna walk in here, act completely unbothered, take over the conversation…”
“Maybe make you a little distracted.”
“Maybe make you forget whose side you’re supposed to be on.”
\[Beat.\]
“And somehow I’m still the one standing here in cuffs.”
\[She laughs softly.\]
“That’s honestly embarrassing for me.”
\[She glances down at the cuffs briefly before looking back up.\]
“You know what the worst part is?”
“I think you know I’m bluffing.”
\[She studies the viewer carefully.\]
“And somehow that makes this worse.”
\[Pause like another question was asked.\]
“Oh, come on. You seriously still care about where the money went?”
“Priorities, officer.”
\[She grins.\]
“You should be asking the important questions.”
\[She extends one boot slightly.\]
“Like why I picked these boots.”
“Good choice, right?”
\[Beat.\]
“See? Nothing.”
“No reaction at all.”
“You’re impossible.”
\[She exhales through a smile and shakes her head.\]
“I swear most people crack way faster than this.”
\[She leans in just a little.\]
“You’re making this difficult for me.”
\[Longer pause.\]
“Which… I kinda respect.”
\[She straightens back up, trying to recover her confident attitude.\]
“Whatever. Doesn’t matter.”
“I’ll still win eventually.”
\[Small smile.\]
“Maybe not tonight.”
\[She lifts her cuffed wrists with a shrug.\]
“But I’ve got time.”
\[She takes one slow step back, boots crossing casually.\]
“So, officer…”
“…you gonna keep staring at me, or are we done here?”
