Just curious what the rest of the sub thinks. I like nude beaches a lot because I like being able to be nude in public (duh). I think it’s my right as a person. I’ve gone to the beaches alone, but I’ve had some unsafe encounters from (sorry) porn-brained perverts who lack basic respect. It’s tough out there.

Personally, I don’t really love when people in the sub post fetish or highly sexual content because I feel it makes the beach less safe for women like me. It gives lurkers the wrong impression and makes them act like assholes when they muster up the courage to actually go to the beach. It sucks to be like, chilling on the beach or reading a book, and then be harassed by a man who thinks every woman there is only there because she’s trying to get fucked. Nudists/naturalists shouldn’t be regulated to some random, pay-to-enter nude clubs out in the desert in order to be safe while nude.

Ultimately, people are going to post what they want and lurkers are gonna draw conclusions about nude beach visitors no matter what. I’m realistic about that. Nudity will be sexualized and it is what it is. But like, at the bare minimum (ba dum tss) I’d love to have some community where nudists who aren’t seeking sexual encounters can talk about black’s beach.

I want to be clear that I don’t have a problem with people posting their nudes, or really even their spicier shots where they’re posing and being overtly sexy. If you’re hot, why shouldn’t you celebrate that?! But when we’re seeing stuff like buttplug shots, it’s like….you’re setting a precedent that this is why people go to the beach. I respect your right to be nude, but can you save the overt sex or toy use for your own private functions? There are plenty of sex clubs. You make the beach less safe, and ultimately, less welcoming for women like me. Maybe that’s inevitable, but it’s a bummer. To all the fetishists and swingers, I support your right to exist! I’m not knocking you! But your actions can affect people who aren’t involved in your lifestyle and that just kinda sucks. And it would *really* suck if Black’s went down like San O, which I think was largely due to the sex. The military probably would’ve ignored it if people were more discreet. It was a liability they couldn’t ignore and I’d bet you a million bucks they looked at the San O sub.

Anyway, again, not knocking anyone. Just trying to see what everyone else thinks. I’m sure this won’t be a popular opinion but I hope you can try to understand my perspective as a vulnerable beach visitor.
