life post-sugaring

I know this is culturally diverse, so fyi, I’m based in London, England.

For SBs: How is life after you quit sugaring? How do you navigate the transition? Is there anything specific I should pay attention to? Do you know anyone who has successfully quit?

For SDs: How are your ex-SBs doing after quitting? Have you ever run into an ex-SB off the scene (e.g., at the workplace, university, networking events, etc.)? How do you view someone when you know they used to be in the scene?

There’s a career I am pursuing, but it exudes elitism and is, yes, very demanding. I need a large sum of money (say, a postgrad degree + living expense + few qualifications) in a pretty short timeframe (1-2 years), so I’m looking into sugar dating. Of course, I would still be working during this time so the entire sugar income can go straight into my saving pot.

My concern is that there’s a very high chance I might bump into people from my future career circle while sugar dating. He could be a colleague, senior, mentor, someone in my network, their dad, or—I don’t know which is worse—a boss or a client 💀 It’s not a back-office job, and climbing the career ladder will definitely involve heavy socializing, hence it’s impossible to hide behind a screen. With this profession as my ultimate target, it feels like a lose-lose situation.

Huge appreciation to anyone shedding some light on this 🙏 Thank you!

P.S.: No, it’s 2026 with a crashed market, and I cannot just work my way in without a "ticket" from their recognized institutions. Other people started early, which I wish I could have done. The market barely existed where I grew up, hence I only came to know about it when I arrived in the UK. This career is life-changing for me, so it's incredibly important .
