Did I buy wrong pump size?

I measured my EG to be 4.25\" so I figured a 1.50\" cylinder would be good for me to grow some girth but when I'm erect and inside the cylinder, it doesn't seem like there'd be much room for me to grow out sideways. Is this a good fit or did I buy one size too small? This is just me erect inside, with no pumping at all.
