Had one of my closest calls
So one of my favorite things to do over the past few years has been to go up to the lake near me and go skinny dipping late at night or very early in the morning, so since the weather is nice I decided to go and do it again.
Issue is that tonight it was a bit more populated than it normally is, so after hyping myself up I came up with a game plan. The beach I typically swim at is admittedly kinda crappy, dark, and a bit treacherous to get to, but the road near it is a back country road with a little bit of gravel parking. So since there were people at the nicer bridge fishing and some people I knew were kayaking, I parked my car a little bit further up the road from them, undressed except for my beach towel and shoes, and walked about a quarter mile to the area I go to.
So everything goes well, albeit the water was much colder than I wanted so I didn’t stay long. So my challenge to myself was that I could tie my towel around my waist and walk back to the car, but I couldn’t adjust it at all as I walked, so if it fell I had to go the rest of the way naked. I noticed someone parked in the area going toward where I swam at but they were none the wiser, but the issue was someone else pulled up to the car across the street from mine where the kayakers car was. And they kept turning their lights and high beams on and off while getting their things together from their vehicle and the one in front of them, and I was caught squarely in the beams.
So as their lights kept going off and on, I could feel the knot on my towel getting looser and looser as I walked toward my car. Finally as I was maybe 50 yards from my car, they finished getting their things and went to the beach right as my towel was about to give way, but it barely held until I got in my car. Had they stayed any longer, or had I parked any further away, my towel would’ve surely given way and left me completely naked in front of a group of strangers.
