[A4A] Realistic situations with humiliation, male chauvinism, and 1980s-2000s body shaming
I am interested in playing a detailed, nuanced story set in the 1980s-2000s, featuring the kinds of male chauvinism that were usual at that time, including body shaming of girls who are objectively quite attractive, but didn't perfectly fit the body standards of that time.
I can write the female or the male side of the story, depending on my partner's preferences, as long as they can write realistically and with nuance the other side.
Either way, in general, for a story like this to work best, the female character should have some deeply internalized male chauvinism through exposure to media, magazines of the time, so she's more likely to put up with humiliations in a realistic way, and she should already be quite insecure about her body by the moment the roleplay starts, so the humiliation and body shaming hits deeper and hurts her seriously.
I am interested in this setting because I lived through that time, and male chauvinism and body shaming of women has always been a type of humiliation I consider "natural" in the sense of "real-life-like", even through the 2010s when the cultural context changed. Since increasingly more players here only know that period indirectly, and sometimes have views of that time that seem to be warped by layers of retelling, I will point out that what I mean by the body standards of the time is that "hot" for a woman, in most contexts, was defined as being both very skinny (thin long legs, perky but very small ass, not so much emphasis on tiny waist as today though) and having very large, impractically firm, round breasts. Tit-to-ass ratio (ass or lower body in general) was often used as a measure of hotness, since it combined both things (although the word ratio would only be used by nerds, but the concept was relevant, no matter how it was verbalized). Since the meaning of words like big or small vary across different generations, I have a gallery of media that younger roleplayers can look at if they wanna get a visual reference of what media pushed at that time. In any case, the female character, despite being cute and even hot by standards of a different time (she wouldn't know that), may not perfectly fit one of these two requirements, or her tit-to-ass ratio wasn't good enough.
That would lead to she being labelled as second-grade or something along that line, which is humiliating on its own. The degree to which the male character may internally agree with that judgement can vary across different stories, and sometimes if there are different male characters, there can be different attitudes to it. Even in cases where the male character finds her attractive despite not fitting what's defined as hot around them, he'll be aware of her weakness and use it to hurt her and have an extra weapon to use on her.
In some cases, she could get a worse deal of some sort as a consequence of being labelled as second-grade or not-hot-enough, which makes it even worse, since it will be constantly present in her mind that it's because she's not good enough.
One example is if she works in some kind of entertainment media such as a TV show, or as a booth babe (promotional model), or anything where she's expected to serve as arm candy. By being told she's not hot enough (common at that time in these environments), she may be told she's only good enough for another role that happens to be harder or more humiliating in some way. In some cases the worse role can be as sexualized or even more, if she's put in a region where she's second-grade but still "fuckable", because in that range she can still be objectified but she needs to somehow "make up for" she being second-rate. There's a lot of possible details that can be explored here.
Another type of story would be a personal context, where for instance she has a crush on a guy, the guy knows she's insecure about her body, and uses it to "neg" her, making her feel that if she wants him to invest time on her as opposed to a hotter girl, she'll have to do things the hotter girl won't do, such as making a bigger effort, putting up with humiliation, etc. Again, there are many options here. I do like real-life-like realistic logic though. BDSM/porn surrealistic logic doesn't work with me, unless it's embedded (that means that bdsm/porn is used by male characters in the story as an excuse to hurt/exploit the female character, the way it can be done in real life).
