My husband and I have been together since I was 22 (we’re both in our 40s now). Before we met I was very sexually active in my late teens and early 20s — lots of hookups, boyfriends, one-night stands, the whole thing.

Over the last 18 months he started asking about my sex life before him. At first I thought it was genuinely weird and a little uncomfortable. But the more I saw how insanely turned on he gets by it, the more I started enjoying it too. Now when I tell him stories the sex we have afterward is some of the hottest we’ve ever had. It’s honestly brought us closer in a strange way and it’s opened the door to exploring a bunch of other kinks and ideas in our marriage that we probably never would have tried otherwise.

I’m really curious — how common is this? Do any other couples do the “tell me about your hot past” thing? Husbands who love hearing every detail, or wives/partners who’ve started sharing and now get off on it too? Would love to hear your experiences (and any advice is welcome).
