Oddly Specific Turn-ons

We all know the more common turn-ons like feet in flip flops or shoe dangling, but are there any oddly specific things someone wears or does with their feet that get you going?

One of mine that I've discovered recently is really thin black ankle socks. The ones that are barely thicker than stockings. Being able to see a bit of the shine of the pedicure through the material is the main appeal to me.

Media perception of foot fetish

Even though I believe foot fetishes are a bit more normalized now still a bit taboo. I'm wondering how much of that stigma is caused by media representation and how much people on the extreme end play a part.

I'll give the example of how having a foot fetish is perceived compared to anal. I personally never found the idea of anal appealing, but I've seen a lot of TV shows and movies where a woman will make anal sex seem like a sort of reward. However when it comes to feet, the guy with the foot fetish is usually painted as a creep who will steal shoes, take pictures, and fondle feet without consent. There's not a lot of examples of a healthy expression of a foot fetish. I've never seen a woman offer a footjob as some sort of reward. The biggest mention of it in mainstream media was one of Dave Chappelle Netflix specials when he had a joke about how much he likes fucking feet.

It's certainly not all the media's doing though. You have people that make unnecessary comments about someone's feet if they get the slightest glimpse of a toenail in a picture. Those who ask to buy pics from a random woman who just wanted to show her outfit or her trip to the beach. Then I see stories on here about people taking socks, sniffing someone's feet while they sleep, asking how they can go up to strangers and talk about their feet, and that adds to the stigma.

What do you think contributes more to the overall negative perception of having a foot fetish.

Disclaimer: I know everyone is unique and you'll find examples of things across cultures or ethnic groups, I will be making generalizations based on experience and what I've observed. Also, this is NOT a "which race/ethnicity has the best/worst feet" post. This is more focused on how different communities view feet in general. I'm Black/African American so that will be my main focus.

I've noticed that the Black community is a bit more open about foot fetishes in general when in pop culture. There have been several Black celebrities that have openly admitted to have some level of foot fetish. I've often heard it in music as well, with male artists mentioning liking pretty feet or showing them attention, and female artists saying they want their toes sucked or their feet pampered in some way.

Outside of mainstream media I've also noticed how Black men and women discuss feet IRL and on social media. I mostly see Black women posting taking pride in having pretty feet, without having the intent of selling content. I've seen several pleasantly surprised by the reaction they got posting their pedicure, and jokingly asking if they should start selling feet pics. They also tend to have a pedicure if their feet are exposed. In my experience their often more receptive of their feet receiving attention. Black men will be more bold about telling a woman her feet are attractive. They usually tend to stay more on the sensual side of things, offering a foot rub or at most saying they want to kiss them or suck toes, rather than the more Dom/Sub aspect(wanting to smell stinky/dirty feet or wanting to be stepped on).

Outside of my community I've noticed a few things. I often see non Black women that are so put off by any comment about their feet that they'll blur/crop them out in posts. A lot of times the ones that welcome the attention are monetizing it in some way. I've also noticed White and non American Asian women are more likely to where sandals in public even if their feet aren't in the best shape. Black/Latin woman don't often show their toes if they're between pedi.

Can anyone else speak the attitude men and women have towards feet in their communities, or what they've observed from others?
