Actual conversation:

Thursday evening

Client: hey there I’m heading to ____ (a town nearby) tomorrow evening and wanted to see if you were available

Me: Hi, yes I could possibly be available but I would need you to secure it now with a deposit so I don’t make other arrangements. I do require notice for the weekend, no last minute availability.

Client: Can I just text you tomorrow and see if you’re available?

Me: I just told you what was required to meet up

Doesn’t respond…

Friday late night

Client: You available?

Me: No sorry

So sick of people canceling and thinking we don’t need to be compensated in some way.

Get a text day of the appointment saying he needs to cancel. I told him I need to be compensated and he doesn’t respond.

If you canceled a hotel day of you’d owe the hotel one nights room and tax,

If you were to cancel at some restaurants and have a card on file you’ll be charged as well as however many people were part of the reservation.

How is this any different?

Setting time aside for the actual appointment Not including travel time , the time it takes me to get ready plus the drive back

So a lot goes into ONE DATE.

And for anyone saying who cares find another date, yeah it’s that easy
