Okay, the takeout orders are getting ridiculous... (+ An opinion on food delivery apps upon first try)

To be fair, one thing that is not contributing to my (23M) "totally involuntary" gains at all is the fact that I have the luxury of not needing a car. That means however if I want to have full control over my takeout, I need to make the walk to the restaurant, order, grab my order and make the walk back. I usually aim for places around 200m-500m away from home, which usually means 1/4th to 2/3rd of a mile to grab my food.

However, today, I knew it: I was out of town for most of the day because I was going to a convention, and I knew I had the perfect excuse to have a clear conscience: I wouldn't have the energy to cook something when I come back. Turns out it was around 6:30PM when I went back, and if in the US it's already dinner time from what I remember, over here in France it's closer to 7-8PM. I could have cooked something for myself.

And yet... Not only did I go for takeout, I dove in and looked into food delivery apps. Curiosity got the worst out of me this time around, as I know how deplorable the conditions are for the delivery workers. For that I'm guilty. Furthermore, this is not the way to eat food at its best, which is kind of required when it comes to pushing your limits when it comes to eating food.

And here's what "big boy" here has ordered, if you've read through all of this apparent "bloat" (got it?) for just this: There was an offer for 12 nuggets for the price of 6, so I took 12 nuggets for the price of 6... And I took a three-patty burger (Imagine a 3/4 pounder) in a combo meal with fries and a drink... At the end, three fries have been left out, and I topped it off with an ice cream cone. The belt had to be undone to finish all this, and when put back on, my belly over my belt kind of looked like a mushroom top, with the already present pudge and the obvious bloat.

Now, on top of what I had discussed about being already close from enough food places to not need it being delivered to me, and the business behind food delivery services, the food was not too cold at first. Still, when it's stayed in whatever vehicle the delivery person used, and when you're taking some time to stuff yourself, the food is already getting back to room temperature. I'll let you guess what's the absolute worst kind of food to have cold? That's right, fried foods, including fries.

Plus, I looked at what I should have paid if I didn't have the offer, and the first purchase discount... That hurts more than a too tight belt. As such, I do not think I'll continue ordering from these apps.

Still, Rhino... What a pig...

(I wanted to introduce myself to this subreddit earlier on, but creating an alt then immediately posting might have not been the best idea.)
