Clubhouse Drops
Tried Clubhouse Drops for the first time because of all the hype around them carrying high-end genetics like 710 Labs, Connected, Alien Labs, etc. I spent a long time researching vendors before ordering and honestly expected a premium experience.
The flower itself had positives strong effects, clean/high-end feel, good cure and loud aroma.
But after breaking it down and checking it under macro, I found a large amount of immature seed material/micros throughout the jar enough that it noticeably affected the smoothness of the smoke.
For context, I’ve spent years documenting flower quality issues in my state medical program and have done extensive macro photography/reviews regarding seeds, cure quality, COAs, etc. This wasn’t one random speck.
What disappointed me most was the response from support. Instead of simply acknowledging the issue and handling it more directly considering the premium pricing, the response emphasized that they checked other jars, nobody else complained, and that variation happens.
They did issue a small credit, which I appreciate, but overall the interaction left me feeling dismissed rather than valued as a customer.
I’m not saying the flower was trash. The effects were legitimately strong and I can see why people like 710 genetics. But at this price point, I expected better QC and better handling of customer feedback.
For comparison, I currently have over an ounce from Best Kept Secret and over an ounce from Arete, along with flower from several other vendors, and none have had this level of immature seed material.
For additional context, I’ve ordered from several other vendors commonly recommended on here. For example, I ordered multiple strains from Lucky Elk and one of them had significant seed issues. I emailed them, they were respectful about it, acknowledged the problem, and replaced it without giving me a hard time. I’ve had similar experiences with other vendors as well, which is why the response from Clubhouse surprised me so much and honestly makes me hesitant to do business with them again.
Also, for people wondering why micros/seeds matter: excessive immature seed formation is often associated with stress/pollination/herm issues during cultivation and can negatively affect smoothness and overall smoke quality.
I’ll attach macro photos and the support email so people can decide for themselves. The seed material shown here came from grinding roughly 1 gram for two joints.
My email:
Hi: Just wanted to give feedback on the batch. Effects and cure are solid overall, smell is LOUD, but I’m finding a significant amount of immature seed material/herm activity throughout the flower. I attached a few photos. It’s noticeably affecting the flavor and smoothness for me. Not trying to be difficult just wanted to document it because the flower otherwise has good qualities.
Thanks
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out and for letting us know about your experience with the flower. Glad to hear you were happy with the cure, aroma and effects!
Please note that this product comes prepacked from 710 Labs, and we are not involved in the jarring or quality control process for their products. After receiving your email, we did take a look at some of the remaining jars in stock from the same strain/batch and did not find any similar issues. We also have not received any additional reports from other customers regarding seeds or a negative experience with this flower.
That said, while it’s not something we want customers to experience often, premature seed material or the occasional seed can happen from time to time as cannabis is a cultivated agricultural product and some degree of natural variation may occur.
We're sorry to hear the flower did not fully meet your expectations though! As a courtesy, we’ve issued a 15% discount on the flower via store credit ($6.75) for you to use on your next order:
Best,
