I was eating dinner in the living room and my housemate (who I'm quite friendly with) came home from a date and instantly plopped on the couch
I started asking her how it went, but she didn't want to elaborate and kept scrolling. She didn't seem upset about the date, just kinda exhausted and holding back, so I kept insisting and trying to get the tea
At some point she was like "why are you so annoying" and I said like please I just wanna know how it went, then she said "lick my shoe and i'll tell you", and I just said "let's not push it"
It happened so fast, when she said that my heart started racing and my first instinct was "you cannot appear eager", so that's the answer that came out
Ive been thinking about it constantly, coping and telling myself she was just trying to shut me up, then wondering I missed the opportunity of a lifetime
