Basement Manchester - positive review
I don't do reviews, but Basement surprised me. First time there and it was actually positive.
It seems to get bad reviews including from the youtube reviewers - things that were the opposite of the reviews:
- Staff member on desk was friendly, he remembered me on the way out
- Spa facilities, showers working, if anything the sauna was too hot! All very good quality and elegantly done.
- Clientele seemed to be majority 30s, which was a surprise, and people of all ages were there.
It was very quiet tho (Friday evening / late into the night) and pretty much nothing happening in the play zone, but there was a lot happening in the wet areas. People were playing with people I would not expect them to be a match with... Maybe the phase of the moon or something 😂 No comment on whether that involved me 😂
I would happily go again just for the wet area... It's cheaper than upgrading to a hotel with one... and you can look at hot guys and have a wank, what's not to like 😂
Yes, it's small and expensive - but it's in the gayest place in the UK and in the most accessible square km in the north of England, so that's fair.
