I think for me it's definitely the connection. There's a depth, a rawness, a realness, a vulnerability and a powerful trust... a particular kind of deep bond that only a domme and a sub in a long term dynamic can know. I'm also a huge fan of clear direct communication, and this realm is really a good space in which to practice that.
