10+ years of non consensual sleeping drugs and there potential long term effects
Hi everyone new to Reddit so apologies if I’m doing this wrong - I’m starting off with a heavy one but I was wondering if anyone had any resources around the potential long term effects of 10+ years of over the counter sleeping pills / unconscious inducing drugs / alcohol mingling together since childhood up to adulthood? I’ve been dismissed by nearly every doctor when I bring this up.
I’m heavily suspecting that the drastic toxins exposure (especially during developmental years) may be the root cause or at least key puzzle piece for why I seem to have allergic reactions to every single medication branch (antibiotics, painkillers, antacids, supplements, vitamins, herbs, and so forth). My reactions always range with GI issues(nausea, regurgitation, extreme bowel movements), throat swelling/chest tightness/anaphylactic/palpitations, migraines/headaches. Every single time I take any range of medication these exact reactions will occur which makes me think it’s not the mediations but rather my system rejecting any foreign substance in some kind of fight or flight mode from past experiences? It’s a mix of a physical and psychological reactions I’m aware but I wish to focus on the physical aspect here as that’s the mystery piece.
I will also note that amongst the medication rejections I have slowly lost the ability to eat a vast range of food and now currently only have two safe-ish foods to consume which has of course led to the inevitable severe weight loss. I am uncertain if my food intolerance is from the same issue or if it’s a co-existing condition. For a bit more context, once I was away from the one who was drugging me, I found that was when my body completely broke down on me and has continued to descend into further decline via food and medication rejection and developing FND.
So far I’ve become my medical systems local zebra / unicorn if you will. I’ve been run through numerous tests always coming back saying by all accounts I’m a healthy human aside from the evident weight loss and slightly irregular heartbeat. (And my FND / RA diagnosis’s of course). Because of such, I’ve been slapped on with guesses and maybes that don’t quite fit but nobody has the answers otherwise. Currently, the hot take is that I may have functional gastrointestinal disorders + mcas. However, I am not as keen to believe I have mcas (and even if I do - for the sake of knowledge collecting let’s say that’s been completely ruled out. What else could it be then?)
Thank you for your time and reading this far. It’s most appreciated. Do stay safe out there folks. 🫂💙
