Hey everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself — I’m u/-Luke__Silver-, and I’ll be stepping in as the new lead moderator and curator of r/erotigif.

As many of you have seen, Duke Silver had to step away for personal reasons. Before doing so, he personally chose me to take over the subreddit. Over the past week, we spent a lot of time talking through his vision, the standards he built, and the direction he wanted this community to continue in. My goal is simple: maintain that same level of quality while continuing to build on what made this place stand out.

I’ve been moderating and contributing to other NSFW communities for a while, and I’m very familiar with what it takes to run a space like this — from Automod to the newer Reddit mod tools. I created this, “Luke Silver” account just this week specifically for this role to preserve the identity and continuity of the subreddit while keeping my other work separate.

Where we’re headed:

We will be opening the subreddit to new contributors soon but it will remain highly curated. Posting will be limited to a small group of hand-selected, approved contributors to ensure quality stays high.

If you’re interested in becoming an approved poster, there will be an application process opening in the near future. This will include submitting examples of your work and following a quality guide, created by Duke himself, that we will provide. The goal isn’t volume, it’s consistency and standard.

With that, I’m also excited to introduce our first approved contributor: u/platinumkingx. He was hand-selected by both Duke and myself, and we’re looking forward to having him help set the tone for this next phase.

You may notice some small updates over time, particularly around post flairs and organization, to make it easier to browse and find the content you’re here for.

I want this to be a community that’s not only high-quality, but also well-run and responsive. If you have feedback, ideas, or concerns, feel free to reach out or comment — I read everything.
