Help please- extreme health anxiety and fear
Can anyone please help me with what this is? 27F.
I’ve recently been seeing a new partner, lots of hand to genital contact, and if sex does occur (very very rarely) we use a condom. Sex lasts very little (his business). He says he doesn’t have herpes or cold sores, and I’ve never seen him with one.
I shaved Monday night, saw him Tuesday, shaved again Friday. Noticed this late on Saturday/early hours Sunday morning. Complete breakdown, sat in bed as we speak waiting to call the drs / sexual health clinic first thing in the morning. I have severe health anxiety, and have an irrational fear of herpes (stupid I know, as I’d never judge someone for having it!!)
The bumps are painless, don’t itch, and I don’t have any that I can see on my vulval skin. I’m rundown at the moment, but I have a high stress job, and not long ago had a breakdown of a 10 year relationship.
After hours of panicked research, I’ve resigned myself to the fact it’s herpes, or folliculitis. Im spiralling as we speak. Please help. I’m resisting the urge to constantly inspect, but I had a quick look before I went in the shower. No changes to them. Never had HSV, orally or genital. Never (knowingly) have been exposed to it.
