2 weeks post op

Got mine done due to mechanical irritation and pain, i wanted to leave enough labia so I’m still meaty just not have any pain and chaffing

I know I’m still healing but I’m unhappy with the aesthetics thus far, it looks unnatural in my opinion but I’m happy to wait 3-6 months for the final result and then perhaps ask for a revision

“Problem” areas highlighted in green

Opinions ?

(Almost) 2 weeks post op

Summary of my case: got it for medical reasons (chaffing, irritation, bleeding), done by a plastic surgeon, trim procedure no CHR, done 12 days ago.

I asked for: natural result, leave as much labia as possible without causing a problem, didn’t want to be left with just a slit

Concerns: I know it’s early I know I’m swollen I just think the result looks weird even though I’m development. Will wait 3-6 months and possibly will ask for a revision. I never thought I’d care about aesthetics but right now (I know it’s early, again) the shape feels unnatural

Positive aspects: healing is going great, no inflammation, minimal swelling, no splits no infections, so far so good

10 days post op

I had my first follow up appointment today, my doctor said there’s no sign of infection, everything is well, some stitches already began dissolving and there are no issues. (Note: I had my surgery for medical issues)

How’s everything looking ? I know I’m on my period so excuse the blood, and I’m obviously very swollen

I need as many opinions as I can get even though it’s early because I’m concerned (aesthetically) about some bumps I’m seeing and also I don’t think enough was taken from the right lip

Scared about healing

I’ll make this easy to read:

- had the surgery for medical reasons due to severe chaffing and every day pain

- trim procedure (I wanted it conservative, to preserve some lip, and not end up looking like I had a slit)

- went to a good local plastic surgeon but it wasn’t covered by insurance

- I am not based in the US

- I am 7 days post op today

- the issue: I’ve circled it, this area “grew” in just two days. I know I should wait for swelling to go down but it looks wrong. Is this normal? Will it go down or will I need a revision? It looks like a “second clit” is growing so to speak.

- I have my check up with my doctor tomorrow to see how healing is going, yes I’ll ask, but I need to hear y’all’s opinions.

- obviously no trauma to the area happened, no stitches were pulled, but the area isn’t healing curved and smooth like the previous days.

Thanks for your time!

51h post op. Everything okay?

Everything’s swollen obviously but I’m using an iodine based antiseptic, thus the colour

Other than that how do you think everything is healing thus far?

Before surgery VS Day one post-op

This is super vulnerable for me to post. I’ve been struggling with chronic chaffing and I kept getting my lips injured during sports or working out, also I would get irritation from jeans and pads.

I’ve tried everything that’s why I got the surgery.

In the photos you can see me pre-op, immediately after post-op and 24h after the surgery. I know I’m very swollen and I understand my surgeon wanted to be conservative with it to preserve my glands but it feels like not a lot was taken unfortunately and I feel like I might need a revision.

My left lip was significantly larger than my right one and it folded in on itself, and my surgeon didn’t want to go too high up near the clit so he left some flesh but I’m worried this might have been the wrong move. I’ve circled it in red in the pics.

I don’t know how itll look aesthetically, when we did the markings it appeared like quite a lot would be removed but it feels like he left a little “shelf” so to speak. I understand he had to follow the way my skin behaved but I’m scared I’ll keep getting injured there. (For example while riding a bike)

With blue I’ve marked how low my lips were hanging, which also caused me pain, irritation and discomfort, i specifically told him I didn’t want a Barbie or prepubescent look, but even though I approved the markings (and I totally understand I’m very freshly operated on and obviously swollen) I feel like he took less than what we agreed on.

Please tell me what you think, also if you think for 1 day post op if everything looks fine (the orange residue is the iodine based disinfectant I have to be using, it isn’t blood) because I have some pain and stinging but it’s very manageable. I’m resting quite a lot too. I just think it will be stupid having to do a revision and having all the pain and money to have been for nothing.

Please tell me how long after I should wait for a revision shall this be needed and in how many weeks or months the swelling will go down so I can have an idea of what the more permanent look will be.

Thank you!

My experience dairy (Day 1)

Hey guys, I wanted to make a more detailed post here to monitor my progress and potentially help someone out while they do research.

Small summary, I got the trim method done under local anaesthesia by a plastic surgeon for medical reasons. I have been experiencing daily annoyances and even pain from certain activities and after having tried everything I finally decided to get surgery which wasn’t covered by insurance but what can you do.

I’m now approximately 11h post op. Here’s my experience thus far:

The entire procedure was totally painless, the whole team would check up on me every so often and if I could sense a bit of pain they’d inject me more. I had never had any sort of anaesthesia before and it was so odd getting to feel everything but without any pain. Very very cool stuff.

Pretty much, as soon as the procedure was done feeling started returning bit by bit and until the time it took me to leave and wait for my bestie to pick me up everything was on fire.

Now, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, i experience very bad periods each month, I’ve had some pretty serious injuries before and I have quite a lot of piercings so even though I was gangsta during the actual procedure, the immediately afterwards part SUCKED.

I kinda laid in the car and my body started shaking from the pain, until we picked up my pain medication I didn’t really know what to do, it felt like my genitals were melting, I’m in my early 20s with no kids and I’m pretty sure that’s how the ring of fire must feel. If you know you know. I was scream singing karaoke in the car to let it out somehow, but as soon as we got home and I took my pain medication (where I’m located very strong pain meds are super heavily monitored and even a prescription can’t give you something that will totally knock you out) and after it kicked in I felt so much better.

Eventually we had dinner and watched a movie, I was totally chilling with my bandaged up coochie and my legs spread, and eventually had to go pee which I was low-key terrified of, but I followed all instructions my surgeon gave and it wasn’t that bad. In my case I have to use a special disinfectant before and after peeing, a peri bottle is great to have also, then there’s some bandaging that has to be done and I like to seal everything and keep it in place with a maternity pad and granny panties.

Please follow your surgeons instructions and take your meds.

I’m so lucky to have my best friend helping, we had meal prepped the days before the surgery and created a little area in the bedroom with everything I would need. 11h after my surgery I’m pretty much only resting,I haven’t had too too much bleeding, and I’m trying to only move for the necessary stuff and get my rest.

In two weeks I’ll be back to work, and until then I hope healing goes smoothly, I’m taking progress pics and I’m keeping an eye on stuff.

I am using reusable gel ice packs to conservatively ice my coochie, the tissue is still very freshly operated on so I’m being careful with it. Everything is good for the time being, I’m pretty positive, I’m handling it better than I imagined but trust me when I tell you the hours straight after leaving the operating room are horrible. I truly hope I don’t need a revision because I don’t want to go through these couple of excruciating hours ever again.

I will keep yall updated, it also helps me to talk about it and share my experience, of course if you have any questions reach out, or if you want to also share in the comments it will be much appreciated.

Take care everyone, and have speedy recoveries
🖤

In your experience, how long…

- did it take to go back to work/responsibilities ?
- work out ?
- have penetrative sex or masturbate ?

——
For context, I’m getting the trim with no CHR, and I work a desk job . I understand everyone’s different but I’m interested in hearing other people’s experiences So I can prep for my stuff too

Thanks !

Getting surgery in one week

Hi everyone

As the title suggests I’m (Female in my mid 20s) getting my surgery next week.

Trim method, local anaesthesia, paying a plastic surgeon from my own pocket for medical purposes. Based in Europe.

I want to know everything possible about your recovery tips and stories in the comments, I don’t know what they’ll prescribe me yet, I can only take 2 weeks off of work.
I invested in a peri bottle, granny panties, reusable ice packs, stool softeners, dresses for home to go commando, and pads for when I start working. My best friend will be taking care of me, well meal prep before and create a safe and easily accessible area for me with everything I need in the bedroom.

Anything I am missing please ? What do you suggest ?

Getting my surgery in 2 weeks

Hello everyone!

I’m a 20 year old something female and we finally scheduled my surgery with my doctor in approximately two weeks from now.

I will do the trim with topical anaesthesia as my anatomy doesn’t qualify for the wedge, it will be done due to medical purposes as I’ve had long issues with chaffing and pain.

I’ve researched a lot but any tips in the comments will help, for some context, I am based in Europe, I will have person taking care of me post-op, I’ve never had any kind of surgery before and I’m bracing myself for what’s to come.

I’m prepping with a peri bottle, loose granny panties, ice packs, adult diapers, disposable after birth underwear, pads and whatever else my doctor recommends.

I can only take 2 weeks off from my office job and for that time I will basically be “bedridden” to make sure I don’t pull something accidentally or hurt any progress made.

I’m kind of worried about scalopping but I’ll talk with my doctor again the day of the surgery and will ask to see everything and approve before any incisions are made.

Please any advice in the comments are much appreciated, I plan on maybe doing a recovery diary when the time comes.

Thank you for your time!!
