I'm sharing this so others don't fall into the same trap. If someone you meet online asks for advance paymentbno matter how genuine they seem or how many promises they make don't send money upfront. If they refuse to meet without an advance walk away.
Stay safe trust your instincts and don't let anyone pressure you into paying first.

I came across a profile on Reddit claiming to be a 20 F Naga student staying in Guwahati (Ghy) We moved the conversation to Tele to discuss her "services." She repeatedly insisted on receiving an advance payment before meeting. Although I expressed discomfort she kept reassuring me that everything would be fine and nothing could go wrong..
Following my instincts.. I only sent a small advance instead of the full amount. We had agreed that the full payment would be paid in person. The very next day..she blocked me on Tele... and reddit account was deleted.. and the original post disappeared completely.
Losing the money hurts but the deeper pain comes from the betrayal being lied to and taken advantage of....I ignored my own doubts because I wanted to believe her and that was my biggest mistake.
Anyone who pressures you for advance payment, especially before meeting in person, is almost certainly running a scam.
Professional or personal services should not require upfront payment from strangers online no matter how genuine sweet or convincing the person sounds.
Promises like “nothing will go wrong,”
“I’ll refund if you’re not happy,” or emotional manipulation are classic scam tactics.
If they refuse to meet without payment first walk away immediately.
Always verify profiles and never ignore ur gut feeling ur instincts are usually right.
This type of scam is unfortunately very common on Reddit Scammers create attractive profiles build quick trust and disappear the moment they receive any money.
