It's been almost one year since the Collective Shout/Visa controversy happened. What has changed in the XXX games community?

Firstly, I would like to say that everyone who whistle blowed about how this was not for "protecting the kids" and instead for mass censorship/ID tracking, you were right. Now that so many games with specific fetishes and genres have been wiped, either completely from development or got their monetization revoked, I am curious to find out how this has affected the genre thus far? I remember when Itch was hit, and ~500 of the 1000 games on my list were removed, and all developers were heavily demoralized. Since then, I have kinda left this community, and I am curious to get your thoughts on what has happened since, how it has affected these games and devs, and your thoughts on the future of this community?
