I've been struggling with online dating to find meaningful connections and one of my friends asked permission to share some of my pictures on subreddits. I was initially hesitant and started to eventually look forward to the attention. It's been a huge confidence boost seeing how many men...and women react.

I let a friend share a few bold photos of me — mostly explicit and daring. She started showing me the reactions people were having. Compliments, jokes, people genuinely noticing me.

I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did. It was this strange rush of being seen, like a spark of confidence I didn’t know I needed. Kind of embarrassing to admit, but it made me feel alive in a way I haven’t felt in a while.

I let my friend take over my dating profile because I was tired of getting zero matches. She rewrote everything, picked new pics, and started answering people.

Now my phone won’t stop buzzing.

I’m honestly kind of thrilled. Every time she sets up a blind date for me, I get this stupid rush — like I’m meeting someone who’s reacting to a version of me I didn’t even create. It’s messy, a little reckless, but I’ve never felt this excited about dating before.

I guess my confession is: I’m addicted to the attention and the mystery, and I’m not sure I want the control back. It has led to some spicy situations compared to going through the chore of messaging and being disappointed compared to the real life meet up.
