Labiaplasty Diary ! (Currently at 3 weeks post op)
Just wanted to share my journey with whoever needs to see it for reassurance or education purposes ✨✨✨
I’m going to be honest. I went into this surgery more uneducated about it than I thought. I knew I wanted it for more than a decade as someone with pretty meaty inner labias that were almost constantly irritated and itchy.
But I didn’t know about what having an “innie” really meant. I’m pretty sure I received a full labial amputation, which I probably wouldn’t have wanted, but here I am 😅 Luckily loving the results anyway!
So just here to say, make sure you know EXACTLY what you want before you jump in.
I got the surgery slightly sedated with local anesthesia. It was quick, painless, and comfortable. I paid $4900 total with a board certified plastic surgeon in Vegas.
I had a few scares during the healing, which I know now were very normal. The swelling, the unevenness, bleeding, sensitivity, random shocks... all normal. All slowly going away! I even had a yeast infection (my first one ever) that cleared up in a few days of me taking probiotics and my prescribed antifungal.
Also had my period on day 13 - 19, didn’t really cause trouble but pads were uncomfy.
Along the way I also started taking some zinc (day 4 onward), probiotics and arnica tablets (day 7 onward) for healing. I used peri bottles to wash out after peeing and put some bacitracin ointment on the suture sites every 2 days or so, not everyday. Highly recommend getting a donut seat to take the pressure off when you are sitting. Try not to sit or stand for a long time. Take breaks and lay down.
Luckily, she seems to be healing pretty well except some small splits near the top. My frenulum was VERY swollen and painful for a bit, kind of freaked me out lol, but it’s finally calming down. One side has a hard piece of skin that’s pretty sensitive right now (possibly scar tissue or irritation from a leftover suture?), but I’m not too worried. My 1 month check up is soon, so I’ll update after that!
(Also. If you’re looking to get the surgery, probably don’t spread yourself and look at it as much as I did during healing. I couldn’t stop myself but you can be stronger than me.)
Thanks if you read this far, hopefully this helps anyone seeing this!
