Nice beach! But mosquitos (salt marsh variants) when parking 🅿️
The Playalinda beach was very nice. More populated than Apollo (tho solitude is also great there!). One thing I noticed however is the mosquito situation was intense in the parking lot within seconds of standing outside. I have lasting welts (20+) in 2minutes of being out of the vehicle. I also wasn’t familiar with Salt Marsh Mosquitos being so aggressive, persistent, and having more potent agents that react longer on your body. They also take no mercy to bite you in any place you potentially didn’t apply repellant (neck, forehead, temple, toes, achilles tendon, under arms, etc). I guess the technique is to not dwell around in the parking lot for more than 30s… get out, get items, walk fast to the beach? On the beach no issues 🏖️, so, I’d rather have it that way than the inverse.
